Hello boys and girls,
It's time for Miss Viola's bedtime story.
Get all cozy and stretch out your bodies.
Stretch out your arms and your legs.
Stretch them out.
And release.
Let's take a deep breath through our noses.
Release the air through our mouth.
This story is called The Magical Farm.
Once upon a time,
There was a magical farm.
Few people knew this farm had magic.
The farm sat in the middle of a cornfield,
Surrounded by tall,
Old oaks whose branches curved and swung back and forth.
If you listen carefully,
You will hear noises coming from a clear blue pond filled with colorful fish.
There is a wooden bench next to the pond.
Sitting on that bench are three children talking and feeding the fish.
Johnny,
He is the oldest,
Joy is in the middle,
And their younger brother is Ben.
The biggest fish is all orange with a violet stripe along its back.
It swims up to eat and then playfully splashes the children with its back fin before disappearing.
Ben giggles waving his little fingers at the fish.
Again please.
He says again.
The children hear a humming,
Fluttering sound getting closer and closer.
I can smell strawberries,
Joy says stretching her hand out.
Suddenly appearing in the palm of Joy's hand is the tiniest fairy you have ever seen.
Good morning,
Said the fairy.
I've come from the enchanted forest to grant you one wish.
With these words Johnny shouts,
I would like to fly like a bird.
Not I said Joy,
I would like to be invisible.
Ben says,
I want to swim with the big orange fish.
After hearing all the wishes from the children,
The little fairy said,
One wish is all I can grant.
The children huddled together.
They were determined to agree on one wish.
Dearest fairy,
The children said,
A pet is what we would want to call our own.
When the little fairy heard the children,
She smiled and said,
You have been such good children.
You shall have this wish.
At that instant,
A puppy's bar came from the cornfield.
The children ran towards the sound and discovered the cutest puppy.
He was so fluffy and had a wet nose that made them all laugh.
With that,
The fairy flew up from Joy's hand and said,
Now all is well.
The time had come for the tiniest fairy to return home to fairyland.
The children waved at her and the fairy waved back and they thanked her for her kindness.
Thank you fairy.
As the fairy vanished behind the clouds,
The smell of strawberries lasted forever and ever and ever.
The End you you you you
