Hello,
My name is Viola and welcome to this visualization meditative practice that I have written especially for all of you.
Sitting with the willow tree.
Find your sacred place,
The one that brings you comfort and settle in.
The practice will end with the background noises slowly fading away.
And as you are settling in to this space,
Close your eyes or you may simply lower your gaze.
Place your hands gently upon your belly and take in a few deep belly breaths in and out.
And if your mind wanders for it usually does.
Do not worry,
Just guide your attention back to the breath.
For this will be your anchor and bring your attention to the mind's eye.
It is in this place where you see yourself walking early in the morning along a path towards the woods.
As you step forward,
The sounds of newly fallen leaves crunch beneath your feet.
In the distance,
You hear the chirping of a red robin that you notice on top of the roof of a house.
You stop and listen to the songs of hope and you feel the peace that it brings to you.
You smile and call out to the robin,
Good morning,
And the robin tilts its head towards you.
You continue walking along the path and the air is cool,
So you zip up your coat,
Tighten it around you and you begin to feel warmer.
Ahead within the woods,
You see a majestic willow tree standing there in all of its glory in the heart of the woods.
Its branches are swaying in the wind,
Nudging you to come closer and to be with it.
And as you approach the tree,
You pause,
Admiring its beauty and you step into its presence,
Sitting down and leaning your back against its trunk.
Your feet are grounded in the earth around the tree and you begin to feel the energy rise up throughout your body and then you connect to all of those wise souls who,
Like you,
Have been called to be here with the wisdom of the trees,
Long,
Yellow,
Green leaves that point downward,
Surround you,
Almost like a hug.
And as the sun rises,
The stream of the sun's rays shine through the circle of the leaves,
Absorbing your face,
Bathing you in all of the inner wisdom and strength that the tree is offering to you.
In this space,
You feel safe and you feel free,
Surrendering all of the self-doubt,
All of the worries that you have carried with you for so long.
The tree whispers,
Give them to me and you do.
You are free,
You are loved,
You are special and you feel lighter.
Be here in all of this beauty as long as your soul needs to and when you are ready,
Just take in a few breaths and release to bring your awareness back.
But know that you can return to the Grand Willow whenever you feel that you need to,
For it will always be waiting for you.
