Hi,

This is Vishnu,

Namaste and today I want to discuss about non-violence.

In Sanskrit we call as Ahimsa and whoever practice yoga already familiar those Sanskrit word is Ahimsa means non-violence.

But very often people misunderstand non-violence,

Yes it is not hurting,

Not harming any living beings.

At the same time non-violence to our own self.

When you think about yourself in a day,

How many times you hurt yourself mentally,

Emotionally?

How many times you get stress?

How many times you get anxious?

How many times you think about your past painful moments and you recreating same moments and feeling that pain as it is happening now.

And this is what happened during meditation,

The more you practice meditation.

Lot of thoughts comes which you never thought about for many years,

Certain painful emotions and traumas which comes up and you recreating,

We start thinking about it,

We creating the same pain and feeling and emotions again and again.

And we are harming our own self without knowing that we are hurting our own self.

In the first stages of meditation once your mind is more settled down,

Whatever deep deep inside you it starts comes up,

It starts pops up,

It will comes and trigger different what I call as the hot points which is triggering points,

The hot buttons,

The hot emotions that make you angry,

Make you frustrated,

Make you depressed,

Such emotions pops up and without awareness we recreating and harming and hurting our own self.

So during meditation is very important to follow non-violence,

Being non-violence to our own self.

Once you become non-violence to our own self,

Naturally we become non-violence to others as well.

So it's an internal non-harming process is Ahimsa.

So first we practice non-violence to our own self and then we demonstrate whatever internal changes happens naturally reflect around us.

So whenever any kind of emotions,

Whenever the bad emotions comes you have to remember that you are harming your own self.

Something which has happened many years ago,

Still you are thinking and harming our own self.

And once you learn how to be practiced non-violence to your own self,

No one can hurt you and no one can take your peace of mind.

No one can take away your happiness.

No one can do anything to you that to make you bad or sad or angry or frustrated.

You control your own self.

You decide your happiness.

You will decide your peace of mind and that's the power of non-violence practicing the Ahimsa.

We practice Ahimsa to our own self first so then it will reflect naturally to the external world.

Once you master the art of Ahimsa within our own self to the inner world,

It will reflect naturally to the outer world.

A great person who followed and lived the entire life demonstrated Ahimsa is the great soul Gandhi.

Thank you and I will discuss again new topics with you again and take care and talk to you soon.
