Hi,
I'm Viona.
This is a short body scan meditation for moments when stress or anxiety feels overwhelming.
For the next five minutes,
All you need to do is to notice your body,
To be here and now,
Nothing else.
Welcome back home.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Take one slow and deep breath in and exhale through your mouth with a gentle sigh.
Again,
Inhale,
Filling your chest,
Your belly with fresh air.
And exhale,
Let the weight begin to soften.
Release.
One more time here,
Big deep breath in and full breath out.
Release.
Good.
Now just allow your breath to settle into its natural rhythm.
Bring your attention to the top of your head.
Notice if you're holding any intention there.
Breathe in towards your head and just intentionally let it soften.
Relax your head.
Relax your brain.
Relax your whole face.
Now bring a smile to your face.
Soften in between your third eye,
Between your eyebrow areas.
Breathe deeply.
Slowly moving down towards your jaw,
Soften your lips.
Your neck.
Moving down to your shoulders.
Notice if they are tight.
As you exhale,
Let your shoulders drop away from your ears and feel a sensation of release,
Of softening the shoulders area.
Again,
One more deep inhale here.
And exhale,
Soften the shoulders.
You may even wiggle around of your shoulder area.
Good.
And slowly breathe into your chest.
Notice the gentle rise of your chest as you're breathing.
And as you breathe out,
Chest contract,
Falls,
Soften.
If you feel any heaviness there,
Just deep breath into the chest and release with every exhale.
Take a moment here,
Breathing new energy,
New space.
Breathe out lighter,
More space.
Now slowly moving towards your belly,
Deep breath through the belly.
And soften your belly,
Your core,
Your ribcage through the out-breath.
Now bringing your breath to the center of your body.
Breath towards your hips.
Inhale,
Space,
Energy,
Air towards your hips area.
And exhale,
Flowing down towards your leg and your toes.
Release any tension you're holding.
Feel a sense of release,
A sense of renew,
And connection with your body.
You may stay here for as long as you want and take more time to connect with every part again.
