I'm Vince,
And welcome.
Before the world starts asking things of you,
Let's take a few minutes just for you.
This is your space to arrive in your body,
To notice the current state of your mind,
And to consciously choose the energy you want to carry forward into your day.
Find a posture that feels both supported and alert.
Whether you're sitting in your bed,
Standing by a window,
Or in your favorite chair,
Feel your feet grounded and your spine long,
But relaxed.
Soften your shoulders away from your ears.
Close your eyes if that feels safe,
Or simply let your gaze rest softly on one point in front of you.
Let's start with three cleansing breaths to clear the state.
Inhale slowly through your nose,
Feeling your ribs expand,
And exhale fully through your mouth with a soft sigh.
Again,
Inhale clarity,
Exhale any lingering heaviness from sleep,
And one more time,
Deepest breath yet,
And let it all go.
Now let your breath find its own natural effortless rhythm.
Notice how your body feels in this moment.
Don't try to change anything.
Just scan from your head down to your toes.
Is there tightness?
Is there ease?
Just notice.
As you breathe,
Check in with your internal weather.
Are your thoughts moving fast,
Like a strong morning commute?
Are they still and quiet?
Whatever is there,
Let it be there.
Now gently drop this question into your awareness,
Like a pebble into a still pond.
What energy do I want to bring to this day?
Don't overthink it.
Is it focus?
Is it patience?
Maybe it's compassion or resilience.
Notice the first word or feeling that arises.
Once you have your intention,
Breathe it in.
Feel that world settle into your chest.
Imagine that energy flowing through your arms,
Down your spine,
And into your legs.
Let it change the way you're sitting right now.
With that intention held in your mind,
Take a moment to look ahead at your day.
See yourself moving through your morning tasks,
Your meetings,
Or your interactions while embodying this energy.
If you choose patience,
See yourself responding calmly to a challenge.
If you choose focus,
See yourself working with a steady and quiet mind.
Notice how your body feels in these future moments.
Your shoulders stay relaxed.
Your breath stays steady.
You are the author of your own emotional presence today.
Silently affirm to yourself,
I meet this day with awareness and presence.
This energy is mine to carry.
Repeat that one more time,
Letting it resonate in your body.
Take one final,
Slow breath in,
And a long,
Grounding exhale.
As you move back into your morning,
Remember that you can revisit this intention whenever you need to,
In a pause between tasks,
Or even in a moment of stress.
Just come back to your breath and remember that energy you choose.
Carry this awareness gently with you.
