This meditation invites you to visualize and move through seven different colours to offer a sense of ease, lightness, calm. and presence. It is also a great way to tap into your energy of creativity. As you practice you may notice that some colours stand out more than others, simply observe this without judgment. You may also notice that as you practice this meditation over time, different colours will resonate. Simply enjoy the calming colours!

Transcript

Hello friends and welcome to today's practice.

My name is Victoria and I'll be guiding you through today's color visualization practice.

Use this practice to calm the body,

Calm the mind,

Tap into more creativity.

You're welcome to do this practice seated or lying down,

Whatever helps you feel more comfortable.

And as you settle into your position,

I invite you to soften the body.

Letting any props you might be using,

Whether that's the bed,

The chair,

The floor support you.

Shoulders melt away from the ears as you unclench your jaw.

Eyes can be open or closed.

Letting the muscles in the forehead gently relax.

Enjoy a few deep breaths to arrive into our practice.

Inhaling to feel your belly expand and exhaling to feel the belly contract.

Deep inhale,

Slow exhale.

Letting go of anything that's happened before a session.

Letting go of any plans,

Events,

Schedules for after.

And as you start to become present for a practice,

I invite you to start to visualize the color red.

Letting this color fill your mind's eye.

It can be any shade of red,

An apple,

A rose,

A brick.

Letting this color of red fill your vision.

Breathe deeply.

Breathe slowly,

Embracing the color red.

Letting the color red slowly transform into the color orange.

Letting orange now fill your mind's eye.

Orange like a tangerine or a mandarin.

Breathing in and out,

Embrace the color orange.

The color orange in your mind's eye now slowly starts to transform.

It transforms into the color yellow.

Yellow starts to fill your mind's eye.

Yellow like a sunflower,

The sun or a banana.

Letting your vision fill with the warming color of yellow.

Breathe in the color yellow and breathe out to embrace the color yellow.

Yellow slowly starts to transform.

It starts to transform either into a light pink or green.

Whatever resonates most with you here.

Letting this color fill your mind's eye.

Breathing in and out deeply and slowly embracing this color into your whole being.

This color now slowly starts to transform into the color blue.

Blue like the sky or blue like the ocean.

Embracing the color blue as you breathe.

Blue now starts to transform into an indigo color.

The velvety color of the night sky.

Letting your vision fill with this indigo.

Embracing it as you breathe.

Letting this indigo now slowly transform into a light purple.

And this light purple slowly starts to fill your vision.

Feeling calm,

Grounded and balanced as you breathe.

Now I invite you to move through these colors again.

Noticing which color or colors resonate the most with you right now.

Red,

Orange,

Yellow,

Light pink or green,

Blue,

Indigo and a light purple,

A light violet.

Noticing which colors you resonate with the most.

There's no right or wrong.

Embracing the practice for exactly how it is in this moment.

Enjoying three more deep,

Calming breaths here.

Letting go of any visualization,

Slowly return to your body.

Noticing how you feel here at the end of our practice as you gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Maybe take a stretch as you lift your arms up above the head.

Slowly opening your eyes when you're ready.

Enjoy carrying this energy of calmness,

Creativity and ease with you into the rest of your day.
