This meditation was created specifically to assist us in weathering the chaos, fear, and lack of control during this pandemic. It was created to help me, as I find myself struggling to go to sleep, noticing as I hold on to fear and tension, and generally finding myself seeking solace. This meditation offers that. It is also a reminder that we are in this together and together we will weather the storm.

In this current time of stress,

Fear and frustration,

Integrative Wisdom offers you this healing moment.

Taking the time to steady our nerves in this period of what may feel like complete chaos and the breakdown of all our routines,

We choose to allow a setting aside of the armor the protection and the vigilance we have been carrying since this epidemic became a worldwide pandemic.

Stop.

Let us consciously give the body a gentle shake.

Wiggle it to and fro.

Jiggle your feet,

Heels and toes.

Shake out the tension in your shoulders,

Your arms,

Your fingers.

Breathe as you let go.

Breathe as you continue this conscious release.

Shake your booty too,

Tightening the muscles and relaxing them just so.

Breathe.

Breathe.

Breathe.

Notice your gut and breathe into this vulnerable part of your body.

The situation may be making us sick to our stomachs,

So let us send it the breath of solace and attention.

Notice if you can,

With each new breath,

The loosening of knots and then allow room for peace to enter.

Even if just for this one breath.

We welcome the gift of peace.

Breathing,

Breathing,

Breathing.

Notice your thoughts,

Your worries,

Your fears.

Recognize that while our situation is difficult,

For this moment,

We have control.

In this space,

In this one breath,

We are fine.

Let us say together,

In this breath,

I have complete control.

Together,

In this breath,

I have complete control.

In this breath,

I am held in the divine embrace and I am safe.

Together,

In this breath,

I am held in the divine embrace and I am safe.

Breathe,

Breathe,

Breathe.

As strange as this time is,

As difficult as this time is,

Let us strive to find our resilience.

Let us determine to weather the storm together.

Let us practice kindness and together,

Let us be a beacon of light to those who have yet to find their peace.

Let us be the light,

Not only for ourselves,

Our families,

But for our fellow humans.

We can be the light in this darkness.

Close your eyes,

Breathe deeply.

Imagine a welling up of light with your heart space.

Take a moment to feel this warmth for yourself and now send it out to beyond your four walls into the world.

Take the next breath to smile and recognize you just made things better.

Now taking another few breaths,

Open your eyes and enjoy the change within.

And please return to this meditation whenever you sense your resilience needs a boost.

Together,

We will make things better.

Together,

We will weather this.

And together,

We will continue to bring light to the world.
