This is a meditation to lovingly connect with and care for your inner child.

Lie down comfortably in a quiet space where you won't be disturbed.

Take a deep breath and release it slowly and completely.

Relax and get very very comfortable.

You can lie down in any position that you like.

On your back,

On your side,

Completely up to you.

You can even cover yourself with a warm blanket or a comforter.

Now picture yourself lying down on someone's lap.

You don't know whose lap you're lying on but you feel absolutely safe and comfortable there like you belong to this place.

Feel a gentle loving hand being placed softly on your head,

Gently stroking your hair like you are a little baby,

A young child.

Draw the warmth and comfort from the loving touch of this gentle motherly hand.

Take a deep sigh and just relax knowing that you are absolutely safe here.

It's been a long time since you felt so comforted,

So loved and safe.

You can be absolutely yourself,

Your true self.

Be completely vulnerable as you lie here on the lap of unconditional love.

And now you hear a gentle sweet voice talking to you,

Telling you how much they love you,

Reassuring you.

And as you hear these beautiful words,

You realize it's your own voice that's speaking to you.

You in the form of your inner child have rested your head on the lap of your own adult self.

This is the best,

Safest place for you to be in the entire world.

It is you who loves yourself unconditionally,

Loves yourself more than anybody else in this world.

Now gently slip into your adult self and watch your inner child lying down on your lap as you gently stroke the head of this sweet,

Gentle,

Innocent being on your lap.

Watch yourself sleep with your eyes closed on your lap and tell yourself these words,

You are loved,

You are loved unconditionally,

Everything you are,

Every part of you,

Every cell,

Every atom of your being is beautiful.

You are worthy of love.

You are worthy of care.

Gently pat your shoulder or your back and experience this pat on yourself as your inner child and feel more and more relaxed and calm and safe.

Now go back into your adult self again and keep speaking to your inner child.

You are a beautiful being of light and love.

You are kind,

You are capable,

And you're meant for great,

Great things.

You are here on this earth,

An angel sent down to make this world a better place.

With your beautiful,

Delightful,

Joyful energy,

Just simply by being yourself,

You light up the lives of everybody around you.

You are a spark of joy,

Of laughter,

And fun.

You are here to enjoy all the earthly pleasures that you desire.

Everything you want is yours.

It is your birthright.

Always remember to follow the path of joy and fun because as you are happy,

You can spread more happiness in this world around you.

Keep stroking the hair,

The head of your inner child gently and sweetly.

Now go back and slip into your inner child and feel the powerful energy of all these words.

Feel the powerful energy of the unconditional love.

Tell yourself,

Thank you and I love you so,

So,

So.

Now it's time to end the meditation.

You can fall asleep if you like or you can gently wake up and go on with the rest of your day with this beautiful,

Caring,

Unconditional love in your heart.
