We have three awareness centers in our human design body graph and these govern how we experience the world around us.

These centers also contain our fears,

Our nervousness,

And our anxieties.

In today's episode,

We're going to cover how these fears can show up in your life,

In your business,

In your relationships,

And what you can do to make the most of your awareness centers.

Welcome to Heart-Centered Human Design,

Emotional Intelligence and Conscious Business,

The show for heart-centered entrepreneurs that want meaningful success and work-life balance so they can wake up every day feeling supported,

Inspired,

And excited about work and life.

I'm your host,

Vanessa Najda,

And I'm so excited to support you on this journey through human design.

Let's talk about the awareness centers.

We have three of them and they help us understand and interact with the world through our instincts,

Our mind,

And our emotions.

This is how we see and experience the world and also where fear,

Anxiety,

And nervousness lives.

There is self-consciousness here and the awareness.

These are the centers that are conscious for us.

All of the other centers,

So we have nine total,

The other six,

They are operating below our conscious awareness.

But these three centers,

We have access to conscious awareness here,

Whether you have them defined or not.

We're going to start with the Spleen Center,

And this is known as the survival instinct in BG5.

And this is all about instinct,

Intuition,

Body awareness,

And what will keep you safe and surviving in the now.

It operates in the moment,

Immediately.

It gives you these hunches,

These instinctual awarenesses of what is and is not healthy for you.

When you're looking at the chart,

The left side,

There's a triangle facing right.

That is your Spleen Center.

If it is colored in,

You have it defined,

Meaning that you have consistent access to the energy of the center,

To your intuition,

To your survival instincts.

You broadcast this out into the world.

It is reliable.

It is a part of you.

You always have access to it.

If it is not colored in your chart,

That means it is undefined,

Meaning that you do not have consistent access to it.

It's actually an area where you take in the energy of other people,

And you're able to become extremely wise about,

You may also be amplifying the energy.

And it's important to know that,

Especially in your awareness centers,

Because you might be amplifying other people's fears.

So when you have a defined spleen,

You are going to be a very highly intuitive person.

And when this is operating in its high expression,

You're very attuned to your intuition.

You are super aware of it.

You trust it.

You follow it.

You allow yourself to be guided by your intuition.

When it's operating in its low expression,

You might be so caught up in your mind that you're actually not paying attention to it at all.

And you may miss important details that are going on around you that are designed to help keep you safe and support you.

Now,

If your spleen is undefined,

This is an area where in its low expression,

In its shadow expression,

You might be holding on to things that are not good for you.

You might be holding on too long.

You might also be amplifying everybody else's fears around you.

Now,

The fears of the spleen are our survival fears.

These are the things like the fear of death and the fear of the future,

The past,

The fear of inadequacy.

I'm going to go into detail into all of these in a future episode that is going to be focused just on the spleen.

When we're experiencing them in an irrational way,

What tends to happen is that we make up stories and we tell ourselves these stories that have us buy into these fears that are not serving us.

So learning to differentiate between the actual valid fears that are designed to keep you safe and the fears that you have taken on through conditioning,

The fears that you might be amplifying from other people are really important.

Now,

When it comes to business,

If you have a defined spleen,

You do want to really pay attention to it because it's going to give you signals,

Instincts,

Intuition about working with other people that may or may not be right for you.

You might notice that something just feels off about someone or about a possible business deal.

And logically,

It all makes sense and it looks good,

But you just feel something is off.

And learning to really listen to and tune into those things is really important in business because if you have a defined spleen,

You can trust these things.

You definitely want to pay attention to them.

If your spleen is undefined,

Then you might be dealing with being afraid to let go of things and holding on too long.

And this can show up very much so in business.

You might be holding on to a job or a client or something in business that is not serving you because you are afraid of what might happen if you let that go.

Same thing goes for relationships.

You might be holding on to relationships that are not actually good for you because you are afraid to let them go.

And if you have an undefined spleen,

These are things to really closely look at and consider.

Where are you holding on to things that are not good for you,

That are not serving you?

And when you hold on to these things,

You're not creating the space for the correct things to come in for you.

So just some things to consider with your spleen center,

That awareness center,

Instinct,

Intuition.

If it's defined,

Really pay attention to your intuition.

You're able to trust it.

If it is undefined,

Taking a little inventory of what you are holding on to for too long that is ready to be released and then to let that go.

So the next center we'll talk about is your Ajna center.

This is very much about mental awareness,

Conceptualizing information,

Analysis,

Research,

Where you find and express solutions,

And where you're trying to find all the answers to your questions.

So people that have this defined,

They tend to be thinkers,

Like they tend to think a lot,

Which I do have a defined,

So I very much relate to that.

And the style of processing information is very fixed.

They can be mentally stimulating to others and even mentally inspiring in a high expression of this.

Now in the low expression,

There can be a lot of ruminating,

There can be really getting caught up and going over the same things again and again,

Telling yourself stories that are absolutely not helpful for you.

And this is where anxiety lives as well.

So with the defined Ajna,

You may be experiencing mental anxiety.

And when you're experiencing that,

You can be broadcasting that out into the world.

So becoming very clear on when you're feeling anxiety,

What's actually going on for you,

What are you actually anxious about and questioning,

Is this actually something real?

Or am I projecting into the future or taking something from the past?

The awareness of the Ajna operates over all of time.

So really bringing yourself back into the present moment to notice and see what's actually going on for you.

And if what you're feeling anxious about is actually rational,

Is this actually something that is happening right now?

Or are you making up stories,

Fearing something from the past,

Fearing something from the future?

And can you let that go and move back into the present moment?

Now with the Ajna center,

Really connecting to your body,

Really getting back into your physical body.

You can do this through breathwork,

Tapping,

Movement,

Whatever it is that helps you get into your body.

When you are going through these excessive moments of anxiety can be extremely beneficial for you.

Also,

Depending on how you are wired,

Music,

Playing music,

Listening to music,

To get you into a different state can be highly beneficial.

Now if your Ajna is undefined,

And the Ajna,

By the way,

It's the second triangle from the very top of the chart.

If it's colored in,

It's defined.

We just discussed that.

If it is white,

It is undefined.

And this makes you very,

Very open-minded.

You're able to look at information from a wide variety of perspectives.

You can really share different perspectives with other people,

Especially those that have a defined Ajna.

And you're not meant to process information in a consistent way.

Your processing is going to be inconsistent,

And that is absolutely okay.

Now with this undefined Ajna,

You may also be taking on and amplifying other people's anxieties.

So that is something to be really aware of when you're feeling anxious.

Is this actually my own anxiety,

Or am I taking this on from somebody else?

And if it turns out that it is your own anxiety,

You can go back to what I just said for the defined Ajna.

Really get into your body.

Where do you feel that anxiety?

Come into the present moment.

Allow yourself to feel it,

But also allow yourself to really connect into your body so that you can move past that anxiety and then continue with whatever action is correct for you.

Now these anxieties,

When it comes to business,

The anxiety that can come up in the Ajna can really prevent you from taking action.

It can also have you taking too much action.

So there are those of us that are like,

In order to get out from the anxiety,

We just have,

We feel like we need to do more.

If we do more,

Then we'll get out from the anxiety.

That is not always correct.

So you want to really,

As always,

And as with anything,

Go back to your strategy and your authority,

Because that is going to guide you in the correct direction always.

That is what is consistent and reliable for you always,

And that is always going to be the solution.

So bringing yourself back to the present,

Feeling into what is correct for you,

Will provide the answers that you seek,

That help you overcome any of your own anxiety that might be showing up in your Ajna center.

And we'll go into more detail into all of the fears of the Ajna in a future episode.

Now the last awareness center we're going to cover today is the emotional solar plexus.

And this is emotional awareness.

It is spiritual under awareness.

It is understanding how your emotions work and how you feel and express your emotions.

This center is extremely powerful.

And remember,

If you have the center defined,

This is the triangle on the right side of the body back facing left.

If this is defined for you,

This is definitely your authority.

The emotional solar plexus operates in waves over time.

The awareness happens over time.

It does not happen in the moment.

So with a defined solar plexus,

You want to make sure that you're really taking your time processing what is going on for you.

Now emotional nervousness lives in the solar plexus.

And if you have this defined,

This can show up in your wave sometimes.

I noticed for myself,

Sometimes I will just be feeling nervous for no particular reason.

And it happens a lot less now than it used to since I've been in this deconditioning through human design experiment.

There is much less anxiety,

Both mental and both emotional anxiety,

Nervousness,

Much less.

But sometimes I do notice it comes up when I'm low on my wave.

And there's not necessarily a good reason for it.

So if you're having this experience with the defined solar plexus,

Just again,

Allowing yourself to feel it,

Where do you feel it in your body?

What is the experience in trying to detach it from the story?

Because whenever we're feeling these fears of the awareness centers,

We tend to make up stories and tell ourselves these things that just have us going on a downward spiral,

Have us overriding our strategy and authority,

Have us doing all kinds of things that are not correct for us,

Or not doing things that are correct for us.

So coming into the present,

Coming into your body,

Feeling what is going on for you there,

Allowing it to be there and knowing that it will pass.

Because the emotional wave is always moving,

It's going to pass.

The more that you wallow on it,

The more stories you tell about it,

The more that you ask what's wrong with me or what's happening,

What is wrong,

The longer you will spend in that low.

So just allowing it to pass,

Allowing yourself to be present to feel and doing things that feel good to you is really important.

If you have the center undefined,

You're going to be very emotionally empathic,

And you are picking up the emotions and the emotional waves of people around you.

And more than half of the population,

I think it's around 54%,

Have emotional definition,

They have emotional waves.

So you're going to be picking this up a lot.

And you get to become incredibly wise about emotional energy.

You want to be really careful about not becoming,

Not stepping into the shadow expression of this,

Which is touchy,

Nervous,

And defensive.

Defensive against other people's emotions that you don't want to feel,

Feeling that nervousness all the time,

And just being touchy and avoiding because you don't want to feel other people's emotions.

What you want to do instead is become really clear about what is your own emotion,

And what are you taking in and amplifying from other people.

The things you're taking in and amplifying from others,

This is information that you can use in your life,

In your relationships,

In business to help support those other people without taking it on.

Knowing it's not yours,

Allowing it to flow through you.

And if it becomes too heavy,

And it's too much,

Break or expase,

Go into your own space at least 15 feet away from other people,

Ideally in a room where you can be by yourself and just allow those emotions to dissipate.

So that is the overview of the Awareness Centers and the fears that you might be noticing in them.

And I'm going to go into more detail and every one of these is going to get its own episode where we really dive deep into the fears associated with each one of those centers,

How they can show up and what you can do about it.

Thank you so much for listening.

I would love to hear how this episode landed for you.

If any questions came up,

Please leave a comment and let me know and I will see you in the next episode.
