Prayer of grace and gratitude,
Start by finding a comfortable place and I invite you to close your eyes and let go of any distractions that may be around you.
Coming into this moment where you can be fully present,
Take a few deep breaths allowing each inhale to fill you with a sense of calm and each exhale to release any tension.
As you settle into this moment,
Set the intention to connect deeply with the concepts of grace and gratitude.
Release any worries or thoughts that may be lingering and invite in a sense of openness and the ability to be receptive to whatever shows up today.
Begin by focusing on the word grace.
As you breathe in,
Silently say to yourself,
Grace.
Feel the word resonating with you.
Imagine a warm gentle light surrounding you,
Representing divine grace.
Feel this light enveloping you in a comforting embrace,
Acknowledging your worthiness of this unearned favor.
And now shift your attention to the word gratitude.
With each breath out,
Silently say,
Gratitude.
Picture yourself in a tranquil garden within your heart,
Each breath nurturing.
Notice what shows up when you hear the word gratitude.
And now friend,
I invite you to think of a moment when you felt the presence of grace in your life.
This could be from the grace of God,
A grace that has been given by a friend or a loved one.
Remember the emotions,
The circumstances,
And the feelings that surround that experience.
And now think of something you're genuinely grateful for.
This could be a person,
A gift,
Or a simple joy.
Reflect on how grace and gratitude are intertwined in these moments.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Offer a prayer from your heart that combines grace and gratitude.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are grateful for your unending grace that touches our lives.
Your love and favor are gifts that we don't deserve,
Yet you bestow them upon us.
Thank you for the blessings that we've received and for the opportunities to grow in grace and gratitude.
Help us to carry these qualities in our hearts,
Sharing them with others,
And recognizing your presence in all things.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Take a few more moments here just to sit in his presence and allow the energy of grace and gratitude to permeate your being.
And when you're ready,
Taking one final cleansing breath,
Breathing in deeply and letting it go,
Opening the eyes and carrying this awareness of grace and gratitude with you as you continue with your day.
