2 Corinthians 12.
9 But he said to me,
My grace is sufficient for you,
For my power is made perfect in weakness.
Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses,
So that Christ's power may rest on me.
Welcome to this time of stillness.
Let's start by finding a quiet,
Comfortable place where you can be free from distraction.
Settle your body and close your eyes if that feels okay.
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
Hold for a moment,
And exhale gently through your mouth.
Again,
Inhaling peace,
And exhaling any tension.
One more slow breath in,
And release.
As you begin to settle,
Know this,
We are all imperfect.
We all stumble,
Make mistakes,
And fall short,
And yet none of it surprises God.
Imagine yourself standing before Him,
Simply being,
Not hiding,
Not performing,
Just being.
In your hands,
Picture all that feels heavy.
Your mistakes,
Regrets,
Fears.
And now take a slow breath in,
And as you exhale,
Imagine offering it all to Him.
See Jesus before you,
Kindness in His eyes,
Compassion in His expression.
There is no condemnation here,
Only His love for you.
He reaches for what you bring,
Lifts it from your hands and sets it aside.
It no longer defines you.
Hear Him say,
My grace is enough,
Nothing can separate you from My love.
Take a deep breath,
And let those words sink in.
Breathe in forgiveness.
Breathe out shame.
Breathe in His love.
Breathe out fear.
Stay here,
Breathing slowly,
As this truth washes over you.
There is no amount of sin too great for His grace.
There is no amount of sin that is too great for His grace.
Now imagine a gentle river flowing,
Clear and bright.
Visualize yourself stepping into that water.
Each step,
Each breath,
The water lifts more of your burdens.
As you breathe in,
Feel the water cleansing your heart.
And as you exhale,
Feel the weight leaving your body.
Listen to these promises as you rest in this stream.
My grace is sufficient for you.
Nothing can separate you from My love.
And now let your breath become a prayer.
On each inhale,
Whisper in your heart,
Your grace covers me.
On each exhale,
I am free in You.
Inhale,
Your grace covers me.
Exhale,
I am free in You.
Continue this rhythm at the pace of your own breath.
If your mind wanders to old memories or regrets,
Gently return to your breath and prayer.
Remember,
He has already covered it.
His love is steady and sure.
As we come to the end of this practice,
Take one more slow,
Deep breath in.
Feel peace fill your chest.
And exhale deeply as you let it go.
Bring your hands to your heart if that feels okay.
And silently thank God for His grace.
Limitless,
Unchanging,
And available right now.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
And carry this with you into your day.
You are forgiven.
You are loved.
His grace is enough.
