Welcome to divine rest.
Go ahead and allow yourself to get comfortable in your bed,
Positioning the pillows just right,
Getting snug underneath the covers and blankets.
And allow your body to unwind and your spirit to be receptive to the peace that transcends understanding.
Close your eyes gently and take a moment to center your spirit.
Inhaling deeply,
Inviting the Holy Spirit into your being,
Exhaling slowly,
Releasing any tension or concerns and open your heart to God's word and the tranquility that comes from his presence.
Psalm 4,
8 says,
In peace,
I will lie down and sleep for you alone,
Lord,
Make me dwell in safety.
Picture yourself lying down in perfect peace,
Surrounded by the safety of God's loving presence.
Philippians 4,
6 and 7 says,
Do not be anxious about anything,
But in every situation by prayer and petition with thanksgiving,
Present your request to God and the peace of God which transcends all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Visualize your worries transforming into beams of light,
Ascending to the heavens one by one as you surrender them to God in prayer.
Matthew 11,
28 says,
Come to me all who are weary and burdened,
And I will give you rest.
Imagine Jesus inviting you to lay your burdens at his feet,
Finding rest in his loving embrace.
As we prepare for rest,
Repeat these affirmations silently or aloud,
Allowing their truth to permeate your consciousness.
I release the cares of the day,
Surrendering them to God's loving care.
I am wrapped in the peace that surpasses all understanding.
God's love and protection surrounds me as I drift into a restful sleep.
I trust in the promise of divine safety and security.
My mind is at ease and my spirit is calm,
Guided by the gentle presence of the Holy Spirit.
Now enter a moment of silent prayer.
Speak to God from your heart,
Expressing gratitude for his presence,
Seeking his guidance,
And placing any concerns in his hands.
Feel the divine connection strengthening as you communicate with your Heavenly Father.

Amen.
