Today,
I have a mindful challenge for you and it's called mindful eating.
So this challenge,
You will definitely need something to eat.
And hopefully it's something that you like.
And in this mindful challenge,
Well,
We're actually going to enjoy our food and eat mindfully.
How do we do it?
Well,
The first thing I'm going to give you a few seconds so you can get something to eat.
Hopefully it's a raisin or a piece of chocolate,
Something,
Well,
That you can really enjoy.
Now that you have that item in your hand,
That piece of food in your hand,
We're just going to take a few seconds.
If you can't sit down to just breathe,
We're going to become aware of what we're doing.
Become aware where we are.
Become aware of our surroundings.
So if you'd like,
You can close your eyes and take a few seconds to breathe.
Breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Take a few seconds to just feel that air coming into your body,
Filling up your body with energy.
Breathe in and breathe out.
How does your body feel while you're breathing in and while you're breathing out?
If you have your eyes closed,
Gently open them and look at the item in your hand.
Look at all the details,
The colors.
Maybe it has different shades of colors.
Maybe it has different shades of black,
Gray,
White.
Depends on what you're eating.
Gently observe.
Take a few moments to look at it.
While you're looking at it,
Express gratitude because behind this item,
Well,
A lot of people have worked for it.
If it's a piece of fruit,
Imagine all the farmers and everything has gone through so it can nourish your body.
Take a few moments to observe it.
Look at it.
Now,
You're going to take a moment to feel it.
How does it feel?
Feel the texture.
Is it hot?
Is it cold?
Take just a few seconds to feel.
Do you felt it?
Breathe.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Now you're going to smell it.
What does the item you're eating smell like?
And then you're going to put it close to your ear.
Does it make any noise?
Can you hear it?
If it doesn't,
It's okay.
And now,
Well,
The best part,
You're finally going to taste it.
Place it in your mouth and you're going to actually enjoy it.
Feel how your saliva covers it.
Taste it.
Enjoy the present moment.
Enjoy what you're doing.
Savor it.
Take just a few seconds.
You want it for more than 20 times and enjoy what you're doing.
And after you have chewed it for more than 20 times,
You can swallow.
And thank it because I bet it was delicious.
Take it for all the vitamins and everything that it has given you.
And continue doing it if you have more food.
And you're going to see that this mindful eating exercise,
