Are you happy?
Has anybody asked you that question?
Or have you ever asked yourself that question?
Well like I've had clients tell me,
Yeah I mean I'll be happy when I get my new job,
I'll be happy when I get my new husband,
I'll be happy when I do this,
Or if I'm like this or if this and this happens,
I'll be happy.
No,
That's not the definition of being happy.
And I just asked you,
Are you happy?
Take a few seconds to answer that question,
Without ifs,
Without buts,
Without ands,
Without anything.
Are you happy?
Just the way your life is right now,
Are you happy with that?
It's such a simple question,
But we don't know how to answer it.
We always want more and more and more.
I'm not saying it's not okay to have goals.
I'm just saying,
Stop and think.
Are you happy?
Or does your happiness depend on something else?
Does your happiness depend on your partner?
Does your happiness depend on your job?
Or the car that you have?
Yeah,
I'm not saying getting a new car won't make you happy,
It will,
But it will make you happy for five,
Ten minutes max,
And then you will forget that.
We have to learn how to be happy,
Because we just forgot.
So today,
Just reflect on your journey and where you are now.
You might hate your job,
You might hate what you're doing,
But just be grateful.
And you're going to see how you will find that happiness that is already inside you.
Happiness is a decision.
Are you happy?
So we're going to do just a short guided meditation to just breathe.
Close your eyes,
Just where you are now.
Focus on your breathing.
Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Take another deep breath in and out.
Become aware of your breathing.
How do your lungs feel while you're breathing in and how do they feel while you're breathing out?
Stop and just reflect.
Look at your life.
Is it so hard to be happy?
Is it so hard to smile?
Take a moment to just thank the universe because of look at all you have accomplished.
Look at where you are now.
Look at yourself.
Is it so hard to be happy?
Thank the universe for the small things and then the big things.
Sime at least five and feel how your body just starts changing.
Smile because you're alive and make that choice to be happy.
Take a deep breath in and out.
Another deep breath in and out.
And the last one you're going to breathe in all that happiness,
All that joy,
Just feel it.
And breathe out all that joy,
All that happiness,
All those blessings.
Even if they are hidden blessings.
And when you're ready you can open your eyes.
