Hello and welcome to Sound Healing Meditations with Kate from True Sound.
This is a guided meditation podcast that uses the magic of sound healing to help you reconnect with your body's natural vibrational resonance.
My name is Kate and I'm excited to guide you on your meditation journey today.
So go ahead and make sure you're comfortable preferably in a lying down position covered in a blanket and an eye mask either using headphones or a good quality speaker and enjoy your next few minutes of solitude.
Today's meditation is focused on developing your mindfulness and helping you turn the noise around you into sounds that you can use to heal your body.
Mindfulness can be described as being fully aware of everything inside and outside of your body without passing any judgments on things that you perceive.
It means simply noticing the external movements without interruptions.
To do this I will guide you through listening to external sounds in such a way that opens a door for you to travel inwards into yourself.
This will then allow you to hear and connect with your internal sounds.
These sounds are your sacred inner music that is unique to you and your energetic body.
So let's begin and start focusing your attention on all of the external sounds that you can hear.
Allow your ears to search out the most distant sounds.
Comb through the soundscape around you and float from one sound to the next.
Allow yourself to simply observe the sound without attaching to it or casting judgment on it.
Just become aware of the sound and its presence around you.
Can you hear traffic moving?
People talking?
An airplane flying overhead?
Maybe a leaf blower?
Any cars honking?
Some motorbikes moving?
Now draw your awareness a little closer towards you.
Can you hear any people moving around in the rooms,
The houses or the apartments next to you?
Do you hear any doors closing?
Someone coughing?
A blind moving?
Someone vacuuming?
Even music playing?
Notice these sounds without emotion.
Don't resent them or attempt to block them.
Simply open your mind to these external sounds.
Follow the sound wave and be curious.
Let the sounds be.
Feel your whole body becoming light.
Allow your awareness to be carried on the waves of the sounds.
Feel all the tension stored in your body.
Drop away.
Stay behind.
While you drift on the currents of sound.
Just drift.
Observe.
Relax.
Feel the warmth and the lightness of being at peace with yourself and your surroundings.
Allow the sound waves to float into your body and remove all discomfort and tension.
Feel the restful peace.
Gently push all doubts and worries from your mind.
Until you are completely quiet inside.
Slowly bring your awareness back to your physical form.
Just keeping your eyes closed.
Start to deepen your breath and make small movements wiggling your fingers and your toes.
Then rolling the wrists and the ankles.
Just pausing for a moment before opening your eyes.
In your mind's eye bow your head to your heart's centre and acknowledge and embrace your abundant vibrational being that gives you your magnetic life force.
