Hello and welcome to Sound Healing Meditations with Kate from True Sound.
This is a guided meditation podcast that uses the magic of sound healing to help you reconnect with your body's natural vibrational resonance.
My name is Kate and I'm excited to guide you on your meditation journey today,
So go ahead and make sure you're comfortable,
Preferably in a lying down position,
Covered in a blanket and an eye mask,
Either using headphones or a good quality speaker,
And enjoy your next few minutes of solitude.
Today's meditation is focused on relieving physical pain.
People who experience deep relaxation,
As in a state of meditation,
Stand the best chance to manage chronic pain.
Much of the success of a pain relief meditation depends on whether you accept or fight your pain.
Pain is the body's way of telling you there is an imbalance somewhere that needs to be addressed.
In this meditation you need to fully accept that as your body's loving way to guide you and work with it.
Only then will you be able to transform the pain and find relief.
In this meditation we will use sound healing as an aid to guide you through,
As a focus to allow your pain to subside and released from the body.
Allow yourself to sink into your space.
Focus on setting an intention,
That is,
I accept and release my pain.
One more time,
I accept and release my pain.
Allow the body to become very heavy and feel the weight of your physical form bearing down on the surface beneath you.
Just take note of your breath.
Without forcing anything,
Start breathing from your abdomen instead of your chest.
Just feeling the belly rise and fall.
Feeling the belly button sink deeper in towards the spine.
Feel the weight of your body relaxing down.
And in your mind's eye step back from where your body is in this moment.
And just observe any physical sensations flowing through your body.
In a way you are like a bird flying over the ground.
And just observing what it is that you see and you feel.
And where is it that you are feeling any pain?
And just take note,
How intense is the pain?
Does it bring a color,
A taste,
Maybe a form or a smell to your mind?
Simply observe.
Try not to engage with the pain.
Just noticing it is a sensation within the body.
And just take note of where any tension is in the body,
Maybe it is also in addition to the pain.
Just note its location of where it is stored and how it makes that part of your body feel.
Does the color,
Taste,
Form or smell of the tension differ from the pain?
Continue breathing smoothly and deeply,
Just making sure to exhale fully.
Holding the picture of your pain and tension before you.
No need to judge or try to change or fight anything,
You are just observing here.
It is what it is in this moment.
As each moment passes,
Observe how subtle changes take place.
No moment is exactly the same as the previous one.
Now look at your pain and tension with acceptance.
If you have a personal soothing color,
Look to change the colors of the discomfort to that shade.
If you feel yourself tensing up with effort,
Just release and breathe.
And then you can go again,
Visualize a soothing color to you,
Maybe it is a deep green or a soothing blue.
And feel the part of your body where you are feeling pain or tension with that color.
Allow it to be completely immersed in that color.
And as you visualize this color surrounding your physical form,
Direct the mind to some affirmations for pain management.
I accept myself.
I accept my pain.
I accept my tension.
I'm just relaxing the body-mind for a moment,
Observing again.
Taking conscious breaths in and out.
Open your mind's eye back to your pain and tension.
Has anything changed?
Did you change anything even if it was just a slight change?
Notice this.
Now in your mind's eye,
Picture your pain again and imagine it feels like a cold patch on your body instead of a painful one.
Breathe in deeply and breathe cool air out into the pain,
Born on the waves or wind and sound waves that you are listening to.
Visualize the cooling sensation moving in under the pain and replacing discomfort with a pleasant tingle.
Experience this pleasant tingle sensation growing and taking over the painful area,
Allowing you to relax your tired muscles that were clenched to fight the pain.
Taking a deep breath in,
Let it out,
And another deep breath in,
And out,
And in,
And out.
Remembering those affirmations,
I accept myself,
I accept my pain,
I accept my tension,
I release my pain,
I release my tension,
I love myself.
And just allow the body-mind to relax down,
Letting go of any thoughts,
Still focusing on the cooling pleasant tingle sensation flowing through the body,
Cloaked in the soothing color that allows your body-mind to just rest and relax into the space around it.
And slowly bring your awareness back to your physical form,
Just keeping your eyes closed,
Start to deepen your breath,
Make small movements,
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
And rolling the wrists and the ankles,
And just pausing for a moment before opening your eyes,
And in your mind's eye,
Bow your head to your heart's center,
And acknowledge and embrace your abundant vibrational being that gives you your magnetic life force.
Namaste.
