This meditation will take you on a journey, a journey to relax your body and mind. When you are settled in your bed, I will read a cake recipe to you just before you fall asleep. As you drift off, allow the smell of the cake to relax you and become the last thought in your mind. The meditation will gently end… allowing you to fall into a deep sleep. Please note: sleep cannot be guaranteed, but hopefully you will reach a place of relaxation. Thank you for your kind support & messages.

Hello and welcome to Tranquil Sleep Meditation.

My name is Jacqueline and I'm going to take you on a sleep journey where I will leave you to enjoy a tranquil night's sleep.

So get settled into your bed,

Move your body until you feel really comfortable.

Pull the covers around you and rest your head into your pillow and gently allow your eyes to close.

Now take a deep breath in and relax as you breathe out.

Another deep breath in and breathe out all the way.

Now with nice steady breaths allow your arms and legs to relax.

Take a steady breath in as you relax your shoulders.

Breathe out,

Breathe in and breathe out.

Nice steady breaths.

Bring your attention to your face.

Relax your forehead,

Relax your cheeks.

Allow your teeth to part as you relax your jaw.

Bring your attention to your nose as you feel your breath as it gently flows in and out of your nostrils.

You feel peaceful,

You feel relaxed,

You feel calm and content.

You're very comfortable in your bed and you're getting ready for a night's sleep.

But before you fall asleep I'm going to share with you a recipe.

A recipe for a chocolate cake.

I adore chocolate cake.

This is an easy recipe.

It's so simple you could do it in your sleep.

This is a one bowl chocolate cake.

A rich and moist chocolate cake.

Now you don't need to do anything.

Just relax as I read you this recipe.

The ingredients.

Two cups of white sugar.

One and three quarter cups of flour.

Three quarters of a cup of unsweetened cocoa powder.

One and a half teaspoons of baking powder.

One and a half teaspoons of baking soda.

One teaspoon of salt.

Two eggs.

One cup of milk.

Half a cup of vegetable oil.

Two teaspoons of vanilla extract and one cup of boiling water.

Step one.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees centigrade.

Now grease and flour two nine-inch round pans.

Step two.

In a large bowl stir together the sugar,

Flour,

Cocoa powder,

Baking powder,

Baking soda and the salt.

Now add the eggs,

The milk,

The oil and the vanilla extract.

Mix for two minutes on medium speed of mixer.

Then stir in the boiling water.

Note that the batter will be thin but pour it evenly into the prepared pans.

Step three.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven.

When the cake is done a toothpick should come out clean.

Cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

Then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step four.

Decorate with your favorite chocolate frosting and then enjoy.

You can smell the cake as it comes out of the oven.

It really smells good.

Chocolate really smells good.

The cake is finished and covered in chocolate frosting inside and out.

Let's slice the cake.

Just a small slice before sleep.

You cut into the cake.

It's so soft and moist.

You carefully place a slice onto a plate.

The smell is wonderful.

You make yourself comfortable and then take a bite.

Mmm it tastes as good as it smells.

You take another bite.

It's so good.

Another bite really makes you feel joyful inside.

And now you take the final bite.

You relish the last mouthful before you lick your lips.

Satisfied.

You lie back and feel ready for sleep.

Totally satisfied.

You snuggle into your bed ready to dream about chocolate cake.

You are very sleepy now.

You are very relaxed.

You feel content and happy.

The smile on your face will remain there all night.

You can feel yourself feeling drowsy as sleep comes closer.

You are so tired.

You are so sleepy.

You are relaxed and comfortable.

Sleep is nearly with you.

As the sound of my voice begins to fade.

You are so relaxed.

You are very happy.

You are very sleepy.

You are very content.

You are so relaxed.

And this overwhelms you as you fall into a deep,

Deep,

Deep sleep.
