Transcript

Today's breathing exercise focuses on three parts,

The inhale,

The exhale,

And retention.

With every inhale,

You are filling the belly,

Stretching the diaphragm,

And expanding the lungs.

In this way,

You are getting the most oxygen and vital energy into your body.

In the exhale,

You are learning how to control the release of your breath and removing old,

Unwanted energy from your body.

During the retention of breath,

After the inhale,

The focus is on extracting all of the vital essence out of the air we just gathered into the body.

The retention space after exhaling is to move this vital energy into the arms,

The legs,

The chakras,

And any space where this energy is most needed.

This breathing exercise will begin with a simple four-count wave breath.

After two breaths,

We will add retention.

Every two breaths,

We will increase the count,

Moving up to seven counts before coming back down to four.

Everything combined with visualization will enhance this experience.

Let's begin by taking a few deep breaths in and out.

As you do this,

Get very comfortable bringing the air down into your belly,

Stretching the diaphragm,

Expanding the lungs,

And then releasing.

Inhale through the air,

Inhale through the air,

Exhale through the air,

Exhale through the air.

Inhale through the air,

Pulse down and reach to zero.
