Hi guys,
How are you doing?
I hope you're having a great day.
I'm doing something a little unusual today,
Something I don't do very often,
But I was guided to come on to make a vocal track about an experience that I had yesterday.
So,
To give you a little bit of background,
I work for a Chevrolet dealership here in Ottawa,
Where I live,
And the Chevrolet dealership calls me up,
Lets me know in advance when they're going to need somebody for a full day,
And I go in and help them.
So,
That's what happened yesterday.
I went in,
Got my truck,
Got my parts loaded up,
And I went out to make my deliveries.
And what I do when I'm out doing deliveries is I always create this wonderful space.
I have a great team,
A great support team,
At the Chev dealership,
And I find that all of their clients are really good people.
So,
It's not hard,
It's not a difficult job.
As a matter of fact,
I often joke,
Maybe I should be paying them to be out in their truck.
So,
I set up my run,
And I get out in the truck,
And yesterday what happened was they sent me north,
And then they sent me east,
And I went east twice.
It was a long day in the truck,
But the one thing I noticed as I was driving through Ottawa was I was being shown some of the more depleted areas.
Areas where houses were 50,
60,
70,
80 years old,
Older apartment buildings existed,
The streets,
The sidewalks,
Everything just looked old,
Used,
And not renewed.
So,
That was the part of the city I was being shown.
And then I went to the east run.
The east run took me outside of town.
I was out to a couple small country villages,
Hamlets,
And what I saw on my way through the country was the beauty of the farms,
The farmhouses.
I saw the beauty of the trees,
The winding roads.
Nothing there was new,
But what it was,
Was electric in energy.
The energy was way,
Way up.
So,
In my mind,
I was already comparing the energy from the city that I had noticed very clearly being stark and depleted,
Noticing the energy of the people on the street,
How they were managing that energy.
It was tough.
It wasn't easy.
The people in the vehicles in the city,
Everybody looked tight,
Wound up,
Unhappy,
Stressed,
Pressured.
And yet,
When I was in a country,
I saw everything totally different.
People were feeling upbeat.
I could sense it.
I could sense the land had everything to do with it.
And then on my last run,
They sent me to an area in Ottawa South.
I was driving through this industrial park,
And I'd been in this industrial park many times,
And being in this industrial park always made me feel just a little bit lower vibrational.
It always had that effect on me.
I never felt quite upbeat.
Didn't matter if the sun was shining,
Which it was yesterday.
I never felt 100% upbeat going through this industrial park.
And guess what?
Yesterday was no exception.
I felt the same thing.
This lower vibratory energy,
This push on me.
And as I drove,
I said to myself,
What the heck is this?
And I was looking around all the buildings,
The parking lots.
Some of the buildings were old,
Maybe 50,
60,
70 years old.
Some of the buildings were new,
Maybe 8 or 10 or 15 years old.
They had been prettied up,
Shrubs and bushes around the buildings,
Nice cut lawns,
Parking lots.
But the energy in this industrial park just has this really dark energy.
And as I drove along,
Something came over me,
And I felt this rising in my energetic field.
And it was almost like I wasn't sure if I was going to be sick to my stomach,
But I kind of slowed the truck in case I needed to pull over.
It was a very heavy,
Dense feeling.
And I thought,
In that moment,
Just how horribly we've got this wrong.
And it took the industrial park to really strike the chord to make that clear to me.
So earlier in the day,
I'd seen Ottawa in ways that really didn't impress me.
The vibration of it all seemed low and harsh.
And then I was shown,
In two instances,
Going east and going out of town,
Just how much this beautiful countryside can invigorate.
No matter where you looked,
It was always upbeat.
And then to cap things,
I ended up driving into this industrial park for two deliveries,
And I was almost sick to my stomach,
Thinking about how horribly we've got this wrong.
How horribly we've altered our human condition to make it just barely acceptable.
Talking with my guides this morning,
And I was asking a question about the 3i Atlas comet,
And whether or not I really need to be involved with that,
Or just to leave it be.
And they said,
Tom,
Leave it be.
It's not yours to work on.
But then in the same conversation,
I told them about this experience,
About the experience where I saw Ottawa,
I saw the city I live in,
As not really a hellhole.
It's not inviting.
It's not inviting for the human spirit.
And they said,
Tom,
You need to talk about it.
This is where your voice is needed.
What people need to know is that whether it's the 3i Atlas comet,
Or other things in their life that are happening right now,
They need to know that the human condition we've created for ourselves is out of whack.
And that's what they wanted me to get on here and talk about.
So I don't have an answer.
I don't think anybody really has an answer.
But the reality is,
We've created living conditions for ourselves on the planet that aren't great.
We know it.
All of us know it.
And you know what?
I like where I live.
I live in a great little community.
And I think we can all take our city communities and build them into something magnificent.
We can't all live in the country.
But we have to say these empty cement boxes,
These warehouses with these vast parking lots and beautiful front lawns that make it look like they should exist.
They're perfect.
They're really not.
And a lot of these areas of the city that we've let decay and decline,
And we've allowed people to live there as though there's nothing wrong,
We really need to focus on making our cities,
Our suburbs,
Look and feel and smell like the countryside.
So that's what I was asked to speak about.
And there you have it.
Hope you guys have a great day.
Maybe that was something to think about.
Thank you.
