Come and sit beside a gently bubbling stream.
It's a mild day with enough sunlight percolating through the clouds and the leaf canopy,
Such that you're not too hot and not too cold.
Autumn has arrived and the odd leaf is descending upon a gentle breeze.
Some of the leaves come to rest on the ground,
But some land on the water and begin another journey downstream.
A strange notion enters your mind and you take each of the thoughts in your brain and allow them to attach to each leaf that falls in the water.
As the leaves flow away,
So do your thoughts.
You are intrigued on where they're going to,
So you allow an aspect of your consciousness to follow them downstream.
This of course is the aspect of your being we call our curiosity.
You notice some of the leaves get stuck on the bank.
The thoughts attached to them simply get stopped in their tracks.
Some more persistent thoughts just keep going,
Swirling around on the eddies in the water course.
The stream eventually meets up with other tributaries and your thoughts and the leaves they're attached to mingle with the thoughts and leaves of others as the thought streams grow into a river of collective consciousness.
They are off on a big adventure through valleys,
Past villages,
Over waterfalls.
By this time the thoughts from your head have become something different again.
As they mingle with the thoughts of others,
They evolve and morph into new thought forms as one and one becomes three.
Thought merges with optimism,
Fear and desire combine to new resolve.
Free floating inspirations are formed which eventually flow out of the mouths of the rivers into lakes,
Seas and oceans.
As all the water molecules on the planet are connected with each other,
Thoughts become attached to each and every droplet of water.
It is the conductor of the universal mind-stuff after all.
Your merged thought forms travel far and wide,
Powered by wind and tide.
Yes even the moon is getting in on the act of their distribution.
Far from the site of the shore,
Water molecules evaporate into the atmosphere and eventually form clouds.
Your thoughts are then taken right across the globe.
Your attention is brought back from the oceans and skies by a single drop of rain that falls on your head.
As it does so,
It brings a new thought your way and really makes you think again.
