This Just for Today themed meditation is mindfully published on the 29th February - sometimes known as a day out of time. It consists of ten prompts to do something a little different today and ends with some minutes of ambient soundscape to allow you to muse on the day ahead … and all your days to come. The ambient layers feature Piers Ward on guitar and Belén Prado on flute.

Just for today,

Take a leap.

You might want to take a run up first.

You may want to check your landing spot.

Or you might just want to go for it.

Just for today,

Jump out of your normal.

Work outside your comfort zone.

Enjoy the thrills and watch for the spells.

They might just be what you were seeking.

Just for today,

Go a little higher.

Enjoy a more expansive view.

Notice how far you can see,

In both space and time.

Just for today,

Roll with it.

Whatever comes along,

Take it for what it is.

See it for its inherent lesson.

Just for today,

Only follow your to-love list.

The to-do list can be done tomorrow.

Start doing the thing you love first.

And increase the love for all your doings.

Just for today,

Enjoy a day out of time.

Enjoy doing nothing,

And notice the no-thing.

Let the earth have one more rotation,

Before you come back to ground.

Just for today,

Watch for the nature of signs.

Especially for how they arrive,

And from which direction they come from,

And which of your senses are nudged first,

And the most.

Just for today,

Play some more.

Bring fun to all you do.

Especially that which is dull or serious.

Make play while the sun shines.

Just for today,

Be serendipitous.

Bring some luck to someone's world.

Do it without them being aware of your influence.

You will really make their day,

And yours.

And just for today,

Meditate a little longer.

Notice both the notes,

And the gaps between the notes,

And where the sounds are in your head.
