Last month I had a reading from a medium who gave me a message to write and record some meditations and guidance for those with different abilities like autism and ADHD. My immediate reaction was that I have no experience or qualifications. On the basis that you never know until you try, here is some mindfully short guidance. As always, your feedback is much appreciated.

Just for today,

It's OK to be different.

Your diversity is your strength.

Your way of being is just right for you.

Your way of doing gets you where you want to be.

Just for today,

It's OK to feel differently.

Nobody else can feel for you anyway.

Your feelings are yours to choose to hold or discard.

Just for today,

It's OK if you are not understood.

It is not your job to explain or to excuse yourself.

Let others come slowly to your way of thinking.

When they are good and ready,

You will be ready for them.

Just for today,

It's OK to see the world through a different lens.

Who knows if what you think is blue is the same for everyone.

Alternative views are blessings for disruptors.

It is they who see what others fail to recognise.

Just for today,

It's OK to find your own truth.

What is true is only a model.

How does your truth resonate with your heart?

What falsehoods are only truths yet to be understood?

Just for today,

Find another way.

But do it the smart way.

Let that other way find you.

Only share it with others by way of example.

And just for today,

Give yourself a hug.

For being you.

For seeing what you see.

For loving how you love.

And for feeling how you feel.

I have both, ADHD and autism (high masking, level 1), I'll share my experience, but each one of us is different, so that's only mine. That was wonderful and all I needed to hear, and of course it hurts, cause that's the opposite of what we hear the hole life. All the relationships I was the real me (masking almost nothing) I was rejected, so I understand another comment here saying that being myself is not acceptable. But at the same time, keeping masking (it is keeping our autistic traits out of view) is exhausting and I can't keep doing it all the time. So I'm trying to find the way in between, I can't complete show my truth self the hole time (I need to work and go places in order to sustain myself), but I'm slowly trying to free me for masking is personal relationship and accept the rejections. I wish someone could accept me, but I see that it needs to start with me accepting myself, and that's what these meditation is about. Sorry about the over-explaining.

β€œWhat falsehoods are truths yet to be understood” is something that stuck out for me during this very soothing meditation. Will be mulling over that line for a bit. Thank you!
