Let's prepare to transition into extended relaxation.

Come to lie down and rest in any way that feels comfortable for your body right here,

Right now.

Not wanting it to be any different or change in any way,

But just taking care of yourself.

Once you've settled in,

Take a few slow,

Deep,

Conscious breaths,

Letting go of any thoughts or sensations.

Begin to find your way into the support of the earth underneath you,

Letting yourself be deeply held by Mother Nature herself.

As you begin to settle,

Let the bones grow heavy,

Let them be held and supported.

Know deep within you that you are one with this vast and infinite universe.

As you send your awareness down the body to the soles of the feet,

We'll begin to go deeper inside ourselves and do a systematic relaxation.

Use your awareness to send relaxation to the toes and the feet,

To the ankles and lower legs,

To the knees,

Then upper legs,

Then the hip joints.

Relax.

Breathing and breathing deep and still from the hips to the toes and from the toes to the hips.

Just relaxation now to the fingers,

The hands,

The wrists and lower arms,

The elbows and upper arms and the shoulders.

Relax.

Resting from the shoulders to the fingers and from the fingers back to the shoulders.

Breathing and being here in the body.

Bring your awareness to the pelvic floor.

Breathing in and around the organs of the abdomen.

Relax the navel,

The diaphragm,

The lungs and the ribs.

Relax as the breath becomes more subtle,

As we give control of the breath back over to the body and just let the body be breathed.

Now resting the heart,

The collarbones,

Resting the throat and the pit of the throat.

As the breath moves freely,

Send relaxation up the spine,

Vertebra of our vertebra.

Relax the shoulder blades.

Relax the neck and the base of the skull.

Resting and breathing the backside of the body.

Relax the jaw and the chin,

The lips.

Relax the cheeks and the nose,

The eyes and the eyelids.

Relax the eyebrows and the space between the eyebrows.

Relax the forehead and the temples,

The ears and the scalp.

And let the whole body relax from the top of the head to the tips of the toes.

From the tips of the toes to the top of the head.

The whole body letting go into a vast and spacious awareness.

Deeply and completely resting and breathing.

Relax your being filled with a warm and radiant light like a star shining brightly sprinkled in with thousands of others in the deep beautiful cosmos of the universe.

Without a sense of time or place,

Here in this deep stillness,

You are at peace.

It's in your own divinity because you are a divine being with just a whisper in the mind as if to remind yourself,

I am a divine being.

Letting yourself go in that vast and deep space of connection and unity.

Letting yourself go in that vast and deep space of connection and unity.

Begin to allow your awareness to rise to the surface as if to arise from the depths of the sea of stars and dark space.

Feeling your way back into your own edges of body.

Remembering your connection to that bright light within you,

Your divinity,

That quiet consciousness that we each hold deep within.

All of our practices help us rekindle this connection.

Let that in mind,

Deepen your in-breath and lengthen the out-breath.

Let your breath inspire small movements in the body.

Making any stretches needed when you're ready and then gently rolling over to one side and pausing there.

With ease in your movements,

Slowly find your way to sitting.

Draw the palms together in front of the heart center.

Imagine again that bright inner starlight at the very center of your own heart.

Let that warm light become brighter and stronger and allow it to fill all the spaces of your body.

And then gently releasing your hands open in front of you as if opening up yourself,

Allowing that light to pour out of you,

Moving in every direction,

Sending some of your light out to the world with a wish for peace,

Sending it to anyone you know that may be suffering or in need of healing and peace.

Om shanti shanti shanti.

May there be peace,

Peace,

And only peace.
