Everyone needs to feel safe. Help your child visualize a place where they feel safe. A place where they can go in their imagination when the outside world feels uncomfortable. Maybe it's their room, a park, a meadow, the ocean, a park, a big blue lake, or grandma’s kitchen. We're about to create that special safe place for your child. While designed for children, hearts of all ages will benefit from this visualization. In addition to visualizing a safe place in their minds, children need a safe place in their homes too. A place just for them. Maybe it’s in their room. It’s a place they can go anytime and feel comfortable, safe, and free to relax and recharge. A place free of all electronic interference (televisions, computers, games, cell phones, etc.). Harmonizing Musical Vibrations by Robert Anthony Aviles, the Jimi Hendrix of the Electric Violin.

Creating a safe place in your imagination.

Everyone needs a place where they can go to to feel safe whenever they feel sad,

Hurt,

Afraid,

Angry,

Mad,

Jealous,

Left out,

Alone.

Whenever they feel anything that makes them feel uncomfortable.

The good news is you don't have to go anywhere to be in this safe place.

You can create a safe place right inside yourself.

So let's do that.

Either lay down on a bed or the floor wherever you're comfortable or sit in a chair that's comfortable.

Gently close your eyes.

Bring your hands to your heart and simply breathe.

You don't have to take big breaths in or big breaths out.

Just watch your breath as it naturally flows in and naturally flows out.

Watch your breath with your mind,

With your awareness.

And as each breath comes in and as each breath goes out,

Just imagine your whole body relaxing more and more.

If there's any areas of your body that are tense or hurting,

Breathe into those areas.

If you have a pain in your stomach,

Focus your mind at your stomach and breathe into it.

Pretend that there's a balloon in whatever area is hurting and that you're breathing air into the balloon,

The tight or the painful spots,

And you're filling them up with soft air just like a balloon.

And then when you exhale,

All the tension,

All the tightness and or the pain just flows out of your body like air flows out of a balloon.

You can repeat this in as many areas as necessary.

If a finger hurts,

Pretend there's a balloon in your finger.

Breathe the love.

Breathe light.

Breathe healing energy from your heart into that balloon,

Into that finger.

And as you exhale,

Just imagine all the pain and the tension is leaving that finger as the balloon gets smaller and smaller.

As you're breathing in and out,

You might even pretend that your body is completely hollow,

Empty,

Like the center of a bamboo stalk.

Pretend you're breathing air into air,

That there's nothing inside of you that is tight,

Tense,

Or painful.

You're just completely hollow on the inside.

You're breathing air from the outside into this hollow space on the inside,

Feeling very light,

Very happy,

Very joyful.

And now with your eyes gently closed,

Visualize or imagine,

See your favorite place before your eyes right now.

Just imagine that place.

What does it feel like there?

Notice what you might be doing there.

Notice any sounds that you might hear.

What colors are you seeing?

Are there any fragrances that you smell?

What or who is there with you in this place?

Are there toys?

A favorite relative?

A favorite pet?

Look all around this place and see what and who's there.

See the colors.

Smell the smells.

Listen to the sounds.

Feel what it's like to be in this place that's very safe for you,

Very comfortable,

Very nurturing.

Just be in this very safe,

Beautiful place within yourself for a minute here.

Breathing,

Relaxing,

Noticing everything that's in this very special place that's all your own.

This is your very own special,

Magical place that you can come back to at any time.

Any time that you just want to feel all the magic that's around you.

Any time that you're feeling sad or angry,

Hurt or afraid.

Any time that you might be mad or feeling alone or left out.

Remember,

There's this beautiful,

Magical,

Sacred place inside yourself that you can go to to feel wonderful,

To feel safe,

To feel loved.

Before you leave this place right now,

Know that you can come back to it at any time and tell yourself that you're safe here.

Know that you are loved and in a moment when you open your eyes and get up,

Know that you're gonna leave this place feeling wonderful,

Feeling very,

Very peaceful,

Ready to go do the next thing that you want to do.

And know that you can come back to it at any time and recreate this feelings.

Practice this every day.

Make it so that you can come to this safe place in just a moment.

You can close your eyes and instantly feel all the love,

All the care,

All the joy of this magical place right within yourself.

So,

On a count of three,

Open your eyes and enjoy whatever you're gonna do next.

One,

Two,

Three.
