
The Healing Light Meditation

Imagine having an amazing healing light within you, that in its brilliance, you can relax any part of your body, release any tension and shine away concerns.
Transcript
Hi,
I'm Tim Mori and welcome to the Healing Light Meditation.
This meditation will help you to heal yourself both physically and in your mind.
It will also help you to heal any problems that you have or that you have had.
This provides safe relaxing space just to take time out to heal yourself.
So as we begin just allow your body to get comfortable.
Just sitting in a chair and settle into the chair.
Make sure your feet are flat comfortably resting on the floor.
If you're sat on a cushion then just nestle in.
If you're lying down just sink into the mattress or surface you're lying on.
Just take a few moments just to settle in.
You'll really notice where you are.
And when you're ready you can close your eyes,
Just rest your eyelids and take a nice deep breath in.
Really feel your stomach.
Hold it for a moment and then release.
Feel the breathing coming into your body.
And then feel your breathing leaving your body.
Know that you can rest your attention on your breath and any distractions or noises you might hear are external to your mind's attention on your breath.
So let's just do that one more time.
Let's have a nice deep breath in and really notice the breath entering through your nose.
The sensation creates as it goes down your throat into your body and as your stomach lifts out open itself to fill your lungs with that breath.
Hold on to it for a moment.
Savour it.
And then release.
Notice the whole sensations around the release of that breath.
And as you rest your mind's attention on your breathing,
Notice the pauses between each stage of breathing.
The tiny pause of not breathing in nor breathing out at each stage.
The pause before you take your next breath in.
The pause when you hold your breathing.
And the pause after you've breathed out.
And the exquisite relaxation following that out breath.
That small moment before your next breath in.
Connect with your breathing.
Allow your mind to be curious,
Observing and amazed at this activity that happens all through the day and night.
Despite what's going on around you,
Despite what you're thinking,
Despite problems,
Challenges,
Despite the time.
Just breathing.
What a magnificent,
Wonderful thing breathing is.
As you're breathing,
I want you to rest your mind's attention to your heart.
And as your mind rests on your heart,
You may notice it's beating.
You may notice sensations about your chest area.
You may not.
You may have images come to your mind.
You may have sounds.
Just a little bit of a sound.
Just allow your mind to rest in your chest area.
And while you're resting there,
You may notice a glimmer of light just inside your chest area,
Tiny but very bright,
Intense light.
And whilst you're breathing in and out,
You find your mind is drawn to this tiny speck of intense brilliant light.
And the more you see it,
The more you're drawn towards it.
And the more you see it,
The more you're drawn towards it.
And the more you see it,
The more you're drawn towards it.
It's beautiful and pleasant to look at and you can't take your eyes off it.
The mind is drawn to this amazing,
Beautiful,
Brilliant light that is inside you right now.
And as you breathe in and out,
And as you watch this light,
It gets bigger and bigger.
So it is now filling your whole heart.
And your heart feels soft and light and is shining brightly in the light.
It's amazing,
Soft,
Beautiful light.
And as you breathe in and out,
The light is growing in your body.
Across your whole chest and shoulders.
And they are relaxing,
Softening,
Releasing any tension.
It's just melted away into this beautiful light.
No matter how big this light is growing,
Your spirit seems lifted.
And wherever the light is,
Everything goes soft and relaxed in this brilliant,
Intense,
Beautiful light.
And now the light has grown to take in your neck and your neck has softened and relaxed.
As it is bathed in this amazing light.
And now with each new breath in,
The light is growing and spreading across your body.
It is now taking in your stomach.
And any tensions or sensations in your stomach are just melted away.
And your stomach feels comforted,
Safe.
And like a tranquil lake in the sun,
It's peaceful in the light.
And the light has grown across your arms.
It's taking in your wrists and hands.
And any stiffness in your wrists,
Any aches,
Any tension is just melted away in this amazing light.
Your wrists feel flexible and free and easy.
And you may notice some tingling in your fingertips.
Just your fingers singing to this amazing,
Beautiful light.
The light now is spreading to your abdomen and your hips and lower back,
Melting away any tension.
Just new,
Softness,
Youth and flexibility in this beautiful light.
And as you continue to breathe in and out,
The light is shining on your knees.
And they loosen and relax and become soft and free in this amazing,
Beautiful,
Healing light.
And it grows brighter and bigger,
Still and intensely relaxing to look with your mind into the light.
It feels like it's the most natural,
Compelling thing to do.
No matter how bright the light becomes,
Your mind is happy and relaxed.
As the light takes in your legs and your feet and your ankles.
Your ankles relax and become flexible and easy.
Now your entire body feels soft and relaxed and easy as it is completely engulfed in this light.
You may experience that your body is almost not there.
It's so easy and light now.
So relaxed,
So peaceful.
As the light takes in your head,
All of the muscles in your face just relax completely.
And you feel your entire body from the tip of your head to the end of your toes is completely blanketed and illuminated in the beautiful,
Soft light.
And yet,
As you continue to breathe,
The light still grows more.
You see yourself as a very brilliant,
Bright star.
You're noticing the light is really filling your mind right now.
And wherever there are only shadows or corners,
The light just fills them and relaxes your mind in doing so.
Any thoughts that come to your mind simply get bathed in the light and become lighter and then just dissolve happily.
Any thoughts that you have are brought to the light and gently freed of concern and worry.
You know that in this light you feel safe and well.
Now this light can be used to grow into your past,
Perhaps a time when it felt dark and lonely or difficult.
Let the light as you breathe in spread out to that moment in your past and illuminate it and bathe that moment in its marvelous,
Healing,
Beautiful light.
Just allow that moment to be bathed in light.
As you're breathing in and out.
Maybe you have concerns about the future,
Some thing you have to do,
Some problem you have to solve.
Allow the light to bathe your future in its healing,
Softening,
Brilliant intensity.
Breathe the light into your future.
Allow it to shine upon your concerns and worries.
And notice how it changes.
Notice how your concerns just lift and shine away.
Because you know you have this amazing,
Beautiful light within you.
Just take a few more moments to allow this light to go to wherever it is needed for you.
Simply by breathing it in and allowing it to grow into any aspect of your life,
Your body or your mind.
Feel the relaxation,
The softness,
The ease that this beautiful light brings to you.
Any thoughts that enter your mind,
Just allow them to soften and shine upon by the light.
And let them pass easily.
Feel your whole being.
The being you have been.
The being you might be.
And the being you are in this moment,
Shining,
Basking in this amazing,
Healing light.
Allow the light into every cell,
An atom of your body and your being.
And rest here in our mind.
And before we come out of this amazing state of being,
You know that this light started within you.
It was your light you discovered.
You made it bigger.
And it allowed you to shine upon your body,
Upon your thoughts,
Upon your past and upon your future.
And you know that you have this light within you,
All the time.
So take a nice,
Deep breath in.
And then let it go.
Just savour that relaxation that is always there,
Beneath the noise,
With the light.
And just bring your mind's attention to where your body is right now,
To the chair that you sat in,
The cushion,
Or where you are lying.
And just feel that right now.
Feel your feet on the floor.
Your body in the seat.
Your body on what you are lying on.
Really feel that as you take another nice,
Deep breath in.
And release.
And when you are ready,
You can open your eyes and just bring this feeling of refreshed relaxation into the rest of your day,
Or to your sleep.

EXCELLENT meditation to focus on breath and inner light. Peaceful background sound, calm guiding voice and *no* extraneous or excessive talk. It is very easy to DROP IN deeply. Iβm using this to create a healing internal environment so my body can mend a wrist fracture. THANK YOU for this meditation. I LOVEDit.
