The intention.
Or This meditation is simple.
We're going to find the place in your body where you hold the line.
The tightness that protects.
The tension that refuses to collapse.
And we're going to offer it something it probably hasn't received before.
Appreciation.
Without asking it to let go.
We've been sitting with.
The part that holds the line.
The one that says no to collapse.
Now we're going to feel where that part lives in the body.
And thank it for what it's been carrying.
Not fix it,
Not release it.
Just to honor it.
As we begin,
Let yourself arrive.
Wherever you are.
There's no perfect.
Position for this.
Just let your body find what's comfortable enough.
If your eyes want to.
Close,
Let them.
They want to stay open,
That's fine too.
Follow what your system prefers.
Notice your breath.
Not to change it.
Just to feel it moving,
And.
That helped.
Without your permission.
Without your effort.
Let yourself settle into the rhythm of breathing.
You don't have to be anywhere else.
You don't have to solve anything.
Just be here.
And if parts are active right now.
That's welcome.
You're not trying to quiet anyone.
You're just making room.
Now from this place of settling.
Want to invite you to do something gentle.
Scan your body.
Not quickly.
Not with a goal.
Just.
Let your attention move through you.
Like water.
Start wherever feels natural.
Your head.
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
Belly.
You're back.
Your hips.
Your legs,
Your hands.
As you scan,
Notice.
Where there's tightness.
Not pain necessarily,
Just holding.
Place that grips.
Place that braces.
Place that won't quite let go.
When you find it,
Just stay there.
You don't need to find all the tight places.
Just one is enough.
Now I want you to do something that.
Might feel strange.
Instead of trying to relax that place.
I want you to acknowledge it.
Notice the tightness.
And imagine.
Saying to it.
I feel you there.
That's all.
Nothing more.
Not relax.
Let go.
Nah,
That.
.
.
What's wrong?
I feel you there.
Notice what happens.
Does the tightness shift at all?
Does it stay the same?
Does it get stronger as if to say,
Yes,
I'm here.
Finally,
Someone noticed.
Whatever happens.
Glad to.
Now,
If it feels okay,
I want to offer one more thing.
Imagine saying to that tight place.
Thank you.
Thank you for holding.
Thank you for not letting go when everything else was shaking.
Thank you for staying firm.
When I needed you to.
You're not asking it to stop.
You're not telling it,
The danger is over.
You're just letting it know that.
What it's been doing has been seen.
That it wasn't invisible.
That it matters.
In some parts,
When they receive this kind of acknowledgment,
Soften on their own.
And because you told them to.
But because being seen is what they actually needed.
And some parts don't soften.
They stay tight.
Because they're not ready yet.
Because the work isn't done.
Because they need more time to trust that.
So.
And you are really here?
Both are right.
Both are honored.
Now,
Before we close,
One final invitation.
If that type place could hear you.
And it feels right.
See how it is to make one promise.
It might be this.
I won't try to force you open.
I'll come back.
I'll keep noticing.
When you're ready,
I'll be here.
Let that land however it wants to land.
You don't need to feel anything dramatic.
The promise itself.
Can be a type of medicine.
Before we come back,
Thank this part for showing up today.
I don't think any other parts that may have softened and witnessed you interact with this one.
Let them all know.
Their voice matters and they're not alone.
And then gently let your attention widen.
Feel the whole body again.
Not just the type place.
Notice your hands,
Your feet.
The breath.
The tightness may have changed,
But.
Maybe it's still there.
You're still there with it.
Mess the shift,
Not the tightness changing.
But you being present.
To it differently.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes if they were closed.
Come back to where you are.
Know that you can.
Return to.
That place anytime,
Not to fix anything,
Just to visit,
Just to say,
I see you.
You matter.
Thank you.
Thanks for meeting me here.
