And where does this all collapse into other than a stillness,
Right?
Like the more you really look at all the places the mind goes,
It just collapses.
And all the directions the mind goes,
It's like directions we're trying to run away.
And you see there's nowhere to run to,
Which can be terrifying and also liberating.
You know,
It's funny,
No matter how well I'm doing,
There's always a tiny bit,
If I look,
I see that I'm super scared.
And then no matter how scared I might be,
How much I'm suffering,
If I look,
I see that there's a part of me that's actually perfectly fine.
I love how true that is,
That if I look,
There's always the same fear and the same salvation.
No matter what I go through,
Life is always inviting me to see the same discovery.
No matter how lost I get,
I'm ultimately always invited back to the same stillness.
Always invited to surrender the same thing.
Isn't that wild?
Like no matter what age,
No matter what circumstance,
No matter what drama,
It's all the same lesson.
And it's always the same surrendering.
There's a sacredness in that.
It's like there's 10,
000 stories of fear,
But there's only one fear.
There's 10,
000 stories about God,
But there's only one God.
There's 10,
000 ways that love can move,
But there's only one love.
There's 10,
000 dreams,
But one reality.
There's 8 billion people breathing,
But there's one breath.
And it makes sense how there's just one truth,
And that truth can't be spoken.
Because that would just be one of the 10,
000 stories about it.
It's fascinating to see that,
And then in some way offer a silent bow to all of life,
And to all of humanity.
It's like you look at everyone,
And you just bow and say,
I love you.
There's nothing else to say.
Do you see the only thing that's in the way of this?
And gosh,
As obvious as it seems for me,
It's like,
I still wonder,
Do other people see the same thing?
The one thing that's in the way of this,
To tell a story about it,
Is to say that I'm trying to make this life thing about me.
It's like I'm trying to come in here and make the world worship me.
I want to be God.
And that quiet whisper says,
Hey buddy,
It's not really about you.
This is about the love of God.
And if you look really closely,
You will see that you are already that.
And so trying to be God just implies that God is not.
So relax.
See what's already happening.
And if you look really closely,
You will see that you are already that.
