Hello and welcome.
My name is Tiffany and I am so honored that you are here with me today.
This meditation is a deep reset for your nervous system.
If you feel like you are carrying the weight of the world and it is showing up in your body in the form of puffiness,
Tension,
Or even actual extra weight,
This is for you.
We will begin by creating a state of safety and calm in your body.
From this state,
We will release emotional energy from past trauma,
Chronic stress,
And constant people-pleasing that you may be holding in your body.
When our body is in a constant state of stress and chronically feels unsafe,
Chemicals like adrenaline and cortisol tend to be high and we will tend to hold inflammation,
Puffiness,
Pain and discomfort especially in our abdomen or even throughout our entire body.
In this state,
Our digestion slows,
Leaving us feeling constantly sluggish,
Full and uncomfortable.
Today's meditation will first let your body know you are safe,
Right here,
Right now.
Using posture and the breath,
We will bring your body out of fight or flight and into a state of rest and digest,
Where it can begin to process all that you are carrying.
And then,
Through a process of compassion,
Affirmation,
And powerful visualization,
You will release the puffiness and tension that you are holding in your body.
I recommend doing this meditation lying down.
Place a bolster or pillow under your knees.
You may like a blanket or something over your midsection.
Allow your hands to rest gently on your low belly.
This position already lets your nervous system know that you are safe,
So that it can begin to let go of all that it has been holding.
Throughout this meditation,
Please allow yourself to adjust and move for comfort at any time.
This is your practice,
And it is so important that you feel empowered to make it your own.
Empowering yourself is a crucial part of the healing process.
Once you are settled,
Let's begin.
Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
Again take a breath in through the nose,
Filling the belly,
The chest,
And the head.
Exhale out through pursed lips,
Continuing with that breath,
Breathing in and breathing out.
As you continue with this nice even breath,
Begin to allow your body to sink into the surface below you.
Feel your shoulders begin to relax,
Soften the muscles in your face,
And release your jaw.
Feel the rise and fall of your belly with each breath,
Letting go of any holding on,
Any tension in your body.
Allow your feet to fall naturally,
Relaxing your legs completely.
Breath out.
As you continue to settle into this comfortable place,
Bring your awareness to your heart.
Breathing into your heart,
Feel your lungs expand and your belly rise with each breath.
Sinking deeper into relaxation with every exhale.
You may begin to notice as we continue that any tightness in your chest begins to lighten.
It's okay if you still feel tension.
Just gently remind your body that you are safe and it's okay to let go.
Just stay with a long even breath and over time your body will begin to release.
If at any time you need to open your eyes to ground yourself,
Please honor whatever it is you need.
Continuing with your breath,
Breathing in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Breath in.
Now we will begin to let your body know that you are safe.
You can silently repeat these words or just listen to my voice.
Thank you body.
Thank you for protecting me.
Thank you for carrying me through everything.
We are safe now.
It is okay to rest.
We are safe now.
It is okay to let go of all you have been holding.
I know all of this inflammation and puffiness was meant to protect me.
But we are safe now and you can release it.
I love you.
I will protect you now.
I love you.
We are safe.
It is safe to let go.
Breathe deeply into your belly.
Allow your belly to expand as you inhale.
Hold at the top.
Imagine releasing all that you have been holding with a long exhale.
Let's do that again.
Long inhale.
Hold at the top.
Release everything with a long exhale.
Allow your breath to return to its natural state.
Begin to visualize the lymphatic system.
The lymphatic system that lives just under the surface of your skin.
Imagine all of the puffiness draining out of your body beginning at the top of your head.
This clarifying liquid just underneath the surface of your skin drains through your face.
To your collarbones.
From your armpits down to your abdomen.
And then releasing through the pelvis.
Imagine this clearing fluid flowing from your toes and your fingertips.
Releasing and cleansing as it goes.
Bring your awareness to the space just above your kidneys.
This is the pump of adrenaline and cortisol.
Imagine just turning down the dial.
Allowing your body to come into a deep state of calm.
Now repeat these silently in your head.
Thank you body for protecting me.
We are safe now.
It is safe to be seen.
It is safe to release all that you have been holding.
Begin to allow yourself to feel a deep compassion for your body and all that it has been through.
Perhaps even feeling gratitude for all that it does for you every day.
I love you.
You are safe.
Thank you.
I love you.
You are safe.
I love you.
You are safe.
Begin to notice any place in your body that feels calm.
Allow your awareness to rest here.
Releasing any last bits of tension.
Let yourself feel a deep sense of calm.
As you release all that you have been holding.
See it just flowing from your body.
Draining out of your fingers and toes.
At rest.
Allow yourself to stay in this place for as long as you like.
Thank you.
I love you.
You are safe.
Thank you.
I love you.
You are safe.
Thank you.
I love you.
You are safe.
