Breathe To Reclaim Your Body
Our breath is key to breaking free from PTSD forever. Our relationship with our breath in every moment is our platform for greatness. If our breath is not flowing to all parts of our body, we are not standing in our power. As we are not breathing into all parts of our body, we are truly disconnected.

Today we'll be talking about breathwork,
And breathwork is something that's so close to my heart.
As a soldier and being so disconnected from all of the emotions that I was feeling,
Breathwork is something that's brought me back to life,
And I can't express how important breathwork is.
I really recommend finding a local breathwork facilitator in your area and allowing you to go on a journey deep within yourself.
Often breathwork is something that can't truly be experienced unless you're actually in the presence of a trained facilitator that has the tools to allow you to go deep into your nervous system and allow you to heal a lot of your stories and your nervous system.
Breathwork has been extremely powerful to allow me to remove the walls and the guarding that I've had around my heart and that I've built around my heart,
And for me to tap back into my power and my true emotions.
So I'm extremely grateful for breathwork and all of the facilitators that have ever taken me on a journey.
Today we'll be expressing about a self-practice of breathwork that you can use at home for you to start to explore your body in a safe way,
For you to be able to understand the power that you hold within your own breath and the power that the breath allows us to access certain parts of our body that might be disconnected through trauma.
So whether you're suffering from PTSD,
Depression,
Trauma,
All of these things can be related back to the breath.
I'm a strong believer that if we're not breathing into all parts of our body,
That we're still holding onto some form of trauma.
I've worked with lots of male coaching clients and females,
And often I can see that their breath is not really penetrating much further than their waistline.
Often this can show that we're actually disconnected from parts of our body.
And if our breath and our breathing is very shallow,
We're not allowing our breath to become all the way down into our belly and it's trapped in our chest,
This can be a sign of us holding onto trauma or a sign of us actually being disconnected from part of our body and part of our nervous system.
So the breath is extremely powerful at allowing us to explore all of the parts of our body that we may be disconnected from.
There are strong beliefs that the disconnection from our breath and from our physical body can be from trauma and past incidents.
And as we actually start to reconnect with all parts of our body and exploring our breath all the way down into our hips,
We can actually start to reclaim these parts of our bodies that we've disconnected from.
For men and women,
Our life force energy lives in our hips.
We are born and produced and come into this world from the energy that exists within our hips.
So if our breath is not getting all the way down into this sexual center and into our sexual energy,
We can still play out signs and symptoms in our life that we're not actually fully connected into our true power.
And this could play out in the way of trauma or this could play out in the way of episodes by us not actually understanding that we're disconnected from parts of our body and that this can show up in certain patterns and certain ways.
So breathing into our hips and breathing into all parts of our body is extremely important.
So today we're going to go through a little breathing exercise that allow you to actually start to work on this every day.
I at the moment am subconsciously breathing all the way down into my body so I can feel bond beyond my hips.
As I breathe into my belly,
My lower diaphragm pushes down and I can feel my genitals and my anus and my hips kind of expand every time I breathe.
This is the level of awareness that I've worked on,
Which has been extremely powerful at allowing me to be connected to my masculinity and connected to my base.
And if I'm not connected all the way to my base,
I'm not feeling safe and I'm not feeling very present as a male and as a person on this planet as well either.
So what I'll ask you to do is I'll actually ask you to lay down and find somewhere safe and secure where you can actually devote the next 10 minutes of your time to breathing into your body and exploring parts of your body that you may have disconnected from.
So what we're going to do is just some light gentle breathing.
You place your hand on your belly first and if you place your hand on your belly firstly and we're going to do some light breathing that will sound like this.
So as we start to breathe into our body,
We can gently close our eyes and I invite you to find somewhere in your body that you might actually feel disconnected from.
So maybe at first you could actually breathe down into your hips.
That could be your first goal is to breathe down into your hips and see where your breath is stuck.
Your breath may be stuck in your chest,
Your breath may be stuck in your belly or your breath may be stuck in your pant line.
So just use your hand to safely explore those parts of your body.
If you feel like your breath is stuck at your waist line,
Place your hands onto your hips.
See if you can breathe down into your hands and see if you can unlock new space in your body.
This is really powerful and something that you're going to have to work at every day.
But I promise you if you stick at this activity and you explore all parts of your body,
You're going to allow your breath to integrate into all parts.
This is a very powerful practice and in you doing this you can actually access memories and emotions from the past as well too.
So if you do actually feel anything come up,
Please just be safe and stay present within your body.
You can handle whatever the emotion is that comes up.
You now have the tools and the knowledge and the safety within your own body to explore yourself in a safe way.
However you can always find your place of resource or your place that feels lighter and safer if this should happen also too.
So I'm just going to leave you here for the next four or five minutes to just gently explore your body with your breath and allow you to touch certain parts of your body to try and activate the breath to reach these areas if you're feeling disconnected from them.
This is such a powerful technique and I'm so glad that you've got to experience breath work today and that now you have this daily practice of being able to explore your own body.
In future you might be able to witness when you're not actually feeling connected to parts of your body or when you're not actually feeling connected to your power or connected to your hips or your masculinity.
The end goal for this is for you to be able to feel all the way down into your hips through all breathing throughout all day or just be consciously aware that your breath and your lower diaphragm is expanding all the way down into your hips and that your chest and your belly are moving together in harmony.
So thank you very much for listening today.

Dear Matt, Thank you very much for this journey of breathing. My breathing brought me all the way to my hips and psoas on the right side that hurts since 2009. It feld really good and a lot of healing energy arrived where she belonged in my body, warm greetings Jochen 🙏

Beautiful. Unlike other breath work I’ve done. It allows the body to feel intuitively. Thank you!

Wow! Great meditatiin for grounding Complex PTSD. I've been having pain in legs and pelvic area. I think this is the first time I've connected and felt soothing energy in that area from this meditation. I just might sleep much better tonight. Thank you so much. Breath work is soothing.
