Thank you for putting this Nam Myoho Renge Kyo chanting session on Insight timer. The pace and tone really supported my chanting practice. Chanting is a formidable path to deepening and intensifying the experience of connecting to one’s Buddha nature, for me. Many thanks.

It is my first time trying to do 20min. How do you breath properly while chanting?

Clever loop. A live group version would be nice so that people can get a feel for the natural breathing rhythms. Might encourage some Timer folks to explore Nichiren Buddhism. Namaste.

Thank you! And of you could do a 10min. 15min one would be great for a beginner to practice.

I have practiced this chant for quite a few years. For those worried about when to take a breath, I understand. This chant is usually done in a group, so when your voice falls others in the group will fill in creating a powerful endless sound. I have experiences temples and houses vibrating from the sound. Since you are not in a large gathering, you will have to treat the audio voice as your partner, to carry on when your voice falls to take in the breath. Always try to say the entire phase before taking the breath when possible. This is a practice and it takes time to master like anything else. I have learned to inhale deeply and slowly breathe through at least 4 or 5 phrases before needing to inhale again. You do not need to speak every single phase to receive the benefit. So please only do what is comfortable and the take time to breathe when you need to, and especially if you feel light-headed. ❤️🙏🏽❤️ To the practitioner responsible for this recording, I am grateful that it is available here in IT.☺️🙏🏽☺️
