Good morning.
Go ahead and settle yourself into a nice comfortable position.
Maybe that's sitting upright,
Aligning the upper body directly over the base of your spine and then lengthening your spine towards the sky,
Opening up your chest and drawing your shoulders back slightly.
Go ahead and rest your hands in your lap and once you've settled in and chosen a position that's comfortable for you,
Go ahead and close your eyes.
Now let's take a couple of deep relaxing breaths,
Taking a long inhale through the nose and a long slow exhale through the mouth.
While we do this,
We release all tension and stress from our body and our mind.
So take a long deep inhale in and a slow gentle exhale out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Now allow your breath to settle,
Letting go of any control of the breath,
Just allowing yourself to breathe naturally and effortlessly.
And as you rest here,
Relaxing deep in your space,
I want you to begin to visualize yourself walking barefoot on a beautiful beach.
It's still early in the morning and the white sand is still cool from the night but you can feel it slowly becoming warmer.
You can see the sun gently rising out of the water and illuminating the sky with bright yellow hues.
You just listen to the waves roll in from the sea and break onto the white sand,
Sparkling and foaming about at your feet.
Feel the warm and wet sand between your toes and as you take a deep breath in,
You can smell the salt water.
You can feel the soft breeze from the sea on your skin,
Refreshing your body.
You can hear birds singing in a nearby distance and to your left you notice a large rock.
Slowly walk and take a seat.
You close your eyes and you realize how great you feel.
A sense of peace and relaxation washes over your body.
You feel the tranquility in this present moment,
A feeling of being connected to all of life and as you stay here,
Immersed in this sense of inner peace,
You take a moment to identify all the qualities about yourself that are good.
You count the ways that you like yourself.
Be as bold as you can here,
Coming up with as many good qualities about yourself as you can.
Whether they're great big qualities or just very simple ones.
You're truly wonderful.
Allow yourself to recognize that.
Now take a moment to list the reasons that others feel drawn to you,
Whether that's your family or friends or whomever you may be close to.
Bring to mind the qualities that they appreciate about you.
Just take in all the reasons these people believe in you and the reasons you believe in yourself.
Allow all the traits that you've brought to mind to grow within you and become even stronger.
Focus on these qualities today and allow them to shine as you move about your tasks with great positivity.
And as this practice comes to an end,
Gently begin to come back to your surroundings.
Notice any sounds around you,
The clothing on your skin.
Go ahead and give your body a gentle stretch and finish this practice with a smile.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes and start your wonderful day.
