Hello and welcome.

Thank you so much for joining me for this guided meditation.

Take an opportunity to set up your space,

Finding a comfortable resting position,

And when you're ready to,

Closing down your physical eyes,

Beginning to draw your awareness into the space,

Noticing the sounds around you,

And then drawing that awareness inwards,

Starting to become aware of the breathing,

Noticing the inhale traveling through the nose,

Down the throat,

Expanding the ribs,

And into the low belly,

And then allowing the exhale to leave the body,

Effortlessly releasing,

Relaxing,

And letting go.

Again,

Breathing in and out,

Imagining yourself sinking deeper into the space you are resting,

Feeling your body becoming heavy,

Held and supported by the surface below you,

And then bringing your awareness to the tip of your tailbone.

Visualize from this space,

Roots traveling down to the crystalline core of the earth,

Feeling safe and secure,

Stable and supported here,

And then bringing your awareness to your heart center.

See yourself stepping into your heart,

Into the vast beautiful jungle that is your heart space,

As you step in here noticing all the layers of green,

Of flowers,

The lush forest that is your heart space,

Welcoming you with open arms,

Beginning to walk deeper into this forest,

Feeling the earth on your feet,

The warm humid air on your face,

And as you travel through this space,

Noticing the environment as you move deeper in,

Noticing is the forest lush,

Perhaps it's become barren,

Maybe a wildfire has moved through and charred everything to the ground,

Perhaps you see new growth,

Just take a moment here to explore this space,

Taking inventory,

Taking stock,

Noticing the environment around you,

And then making your way over to a stump in the distance,

A large tree has been cut down,

You make your way over to the stump,

And you place your hands on the open wound where the tree once was,

Taking a moment to intuitively feel what has caused this tree to come down,

You sit here and breathe,

Feeling the open wound of what was once a large,

Stable and strong growth that has now been reduced to this stump,

Perhaps this stump is from a relationship ending,

Perhaps it's from childhood,

Feeling abandoned,

Left behind,

Perhaps it's from something more recent in your life,

The loss of a job,

The end of a friendship,

Feeling into this space,

What once grew here that is no longer,

Allow yourself to feel whatever is coming up,

Perhaps you sit on the stump,

And allow yourself space to just breathe here,

And then take a moment to know and realize,

That you did everything you could to keep this tree standing,

Allow yourself to feel that compassion,

That forgiveness,

And that kindness towards yourself,

And as you begin to heal this wound,

You notice small new growths popping up from the stump,

The healing energy of forgiving,

Of releasing,

Of letting go,

And of loving yourself unconditionally,

Sets the fertile ground for new growth,

Where old growth once grew,

Perhaps the tears are the water and the nourishment this new growth needs,

So maybe you sit here and allow yourself space to cry,

But as you begin unwinding the knot that has caused this stump,

More luscious new growth new growth begins to thrive around you on this stump,

You can sit here for as long as you need,

Holding space for you,

Holding space for the version of you that experienced this loss,

And only when you feel ready to,

Beginning to make your way back to the opening of your heart,

Beginning to bring awareness to your physical body,

And when you feel ready to,

You can open your eyes.
