Hello and welcome back to the 20-day meditation challenge.
Today we're moving on to day five,
So be ready to set up your space,
Close the door to the room you're in.
Feel free to pause the recording just so you can get yourself settled.
And when you're ready,
We'll begin.
So find yourself flying or seated with the eyes open.
Just taking in your surroundings,
Looking above you,
Below you,
To the left,
To the right,
To the left,
In front of you,
And behind you.
And just taking in the room you're in.
And then when you're ready to,
Close down your physical eyes.
And start to bring your awareness to your breathing.
Allow for a complete exhale.
And when you're ready,
We're going to breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold.
And exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe in one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold.
Keep holding.
And exhale five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And allowing your breathing to fall back to its natural rhythm.
Now beginning to bring yourself into your space.
The space you created that's just your own.
And take in your surroundings,
Noticing the weather,
The temperature,
Noticing any sounds in your space,
The lighting.
And then making your way over to your chair.
You take a seat.
And you just feel the comfort and warmth of the space washing over you.
Letting the sense of ease,
Softness,
And peace fill your body.
And as you sit in your chair,
You start to reflect back on things,
Places,
People that brought you joy over the last year.
And you're just noticing them.
And then going back five years ago,
Ten years ago.
People,
Moments,
Things,
Spaces that brought you joy.
And just reflecting back.
And then reflecting back to adolescence.
What spaces,
People,
Things brought you joy?
And if you can't come up with anything,
That's okay.
And then reflecting back to childhood.
What people,
Spaces,
Things brought you joy?
When you were a child.
What did you love doing?
And just reflecting back.
And again,
It's okay if you can't think of anything.
And now see if you can find a pattern or a connection between the things that brought you joy as a child,
Into adolescence,
And into the last year or two.
Just noticing if there's a pattern or connection throughout your life of the things that brought you joy.
And if you're not sure,
That's okay.
And now in this moment,
If you had no financial restraint,
No responsibilities,
If you released any expectations you had of yourself or others have of you,
Released the judgment,
What would you do today that would bring you joy?
Just creating your perfect day.
What would you do?
Who would be there?
Where would you go?
Maybe you would simply stay at home and read and find comfort.
Whatever it is,
Create your perfect day.
And when you're ready to,
You're going to start to come back to the physical body.
And take an opportunity to journal and explore any patterns that you noticed.
And then journaling about your perfect day,
And how you can begin to bring these moments of joy into your day,
Even in a smaller scale.
Making a commitment to yourself,
To start creating moments for you,
Moments of joy,
Even if it's on a smaller scale than your perfect day.
And so take your time coming up.
