Hello,

I'm Stacey Foley and I welcome you to this guided meditation.

Today you will practice the art of self-love.

Self-love is a state of appreciation for oneself.

Only through learning to love yourself unconditionally can you find true happiness and belonging.

Your worth is not dependent on the approval of others.

Your worth is only acknowledged when you approve of yourself.

I invite you now to start by getting yourself into a comfortable,

Meditative position.

Make sure that you are seated upright with your legs crossed and your back straight.

Allow your chest to be opened,

Feeling the energy of your heart center.

Begin now by taking a slow,

Deep breath.

As you inhale,

Allow your belly to expand and fill with air.

And as you exhale,

Let the breath flow naturally.

Exhale again,

Expanding your belly.

.

.

And exhale,

Returning to a state of relaxation.

Take one last deep breath in,

Breathing fully and slowly.

.

.

And on the exhale,

Relax completely.

I want you to take this moment now to acknowledge yourself for taking the time and honoring what you need.

Extend gratitude towards yourself for this opportunity.

As you inhale,

Say to yourself,

I am grateful.

And as you exhale,

Say for this moment.

Repeat this mantra for five more breaths.

Inhale I am grateful.

Exhale for this moment,

Allowing the breath to relax you.

Inhale I am grateful.

Exhale for this moment,

Breathing deeply and fully.

Inhale I am grateful.

Exhale for this moment,

Feeling supported by the breath.

Inhale I am grateful.

Exhale for this moment,

Breathing fully is an act of self-love.

Inhale I am grateful.

Exhale for this moment,

Feeling loved and supported.

Allow your breath to flow naturally now and become aware of how you are feeling.

Now bring your awareness to your thoughts and notice what you are thinking.

See your thoughts as if they are clouds passing by.

Imagine that you are lying outside,

The sun is beating down on your face,

Bringing with it a sense of love and warmth.

As you lie on your back in the grass,

You stare up at the sky watching as the clouds pass by.

Allow yourself to witness these thoughts without judgement.

Let them continue to float by and as they do,

Feel a sense of peace come over you.

And knowing that you are not your thoughts.

Now let them continue to float by and as they do,

Feel a sense of peace come over you.

Return your focus to your posture,

Make sure you are sitting up tall.

Roll your shoulders back,

Opening up your heart space.

Breathe in and out,

Allowing the breath to fill you with confidence.

Breathe in this feeling of confidence and as you exhale,

Feel a sense of purpose.

Never forget that no one knows you better than you know yourself.

I want you now to focus your mind on the qualities that make you you.

Think about all of your attributes,

The good,

The bad,

And even the unique.

See these qualities about you pass by,

Just like the clouds in the sky.

And smile at all of them as they present themselves.

Breathe fully in and let the breath go.

Now I invite you to dive deeper into those qualities that you have labeled as bad.

Begin to question the source of these labels.

Perhaps you think they are negative only because someone else told you so.

Breathe in deeply to access the truth within you.

And as you breathe out,

See clearly how you feel about this label.

Realize that this is not who you are and let it go completely.

Now bring into your mind the very best version of yourself.

See this version of you clearly.

Where are you?

What kinds of people are you with?

How are you serving the world and those around you?

Visualize yourself and how you would show up in the world every day.

Breathe in this new version of yourself.

Feel the love that you have for this version of you.

And as you exhale,

Feel a sense of confidence that this is who you are inside and out.

You create your own reality by simply focusing on it and visualizing it.

So picture yourself exactly how you want to be.

As you breathe in,

Send your future self loving kindness for you are one and the same.

And as you exhale,

Feel that loving kindness within yourself now.

Loving yourself means loving yourself wholly.

Everything you deem to be flawed and imperfect is all a part of the beautiful creation that is you.

As you breathe in,

Say to yourself,

I accept all of my flaws.

And as you exhale,

Say,

I love myself unconditionally.

Inhale I accept all of my flaws.

Exhale I love myself unconditionally.

Take a few more deep breaths,

Repeating this mantra in your mind on the inhale and exhale.

I invite you now to bring your awareness back into your body.

As you begin to slowly move your fingers and toes,

Find gratitude in your ability to do so.

And love to yourself and your body.

Whenever you are ready,

Go ahead and open your eyes.

Move forward,

Ready to take on the day full of love and kindness.
