I'm so glad you're here.

Thank you for joining me.

Inviting you now to find a comfortable resting position where you can feel at ease and well supported for the next while.

You may choose to stay seated,

Lying up maybe against a wall or in a chair.

And if you're doing so,

Just making sure you have any blankets or pillows or anything that you need to make sure that you're feeling really comfy as we settle in here.

Or you may choose to lie down in more of a traditional Shavasana position.

Legs straight,

Feet falling away from one another,

Arms at your sides,

Palms up to receive.

But you may also choose to take more of a reclined butterfly,

Bringing the soles of the feet together.

Maybe putting a bolster or pillow underneath your knees.

Or maybe just having your knees bent.

Allowing your arms to rest at your sides or perhaps hands resting on the belly.

And as you settle in,

Making any final adjustments,

Inviting you to start tuning into your breath.

Observing it with curiosity,

Gently and with no urgency.

There's nothing you need to fix or change.

Just observing the natural inhale and the natural exhale.

Noticing the length of the inhale and the spaces in your body that your breath occupies.

Perhaps noticing the rise in your chest or into your belly.

Notice the spaces in your body where you might notice expansion.

Maybe a feeling of energy or more space.

And then noticing the length of your exhale.

Noticing where the breath passes through on the way out.

Noticing the fall perhaps of the chest or belly.

Noticing the relaxation or constriction of the spaces which were once occupied.

Using your breath as an anchor point if any time throughout our practice today you find yourself distracted or maybe lost in thought.

See if you can just very gently guide yourself back to your breath.

Ever steady and always available.

So letting your breath just be there now.

And moving your awareness more into the physical body.

Noticing the contact points of your body with the surfaces beneath it.

Noticing the weight of your body.

The length of your body and the width of it.

Noticing the shifts that happen in your physical body with breath.

Noticing shifts also that may happen as you draw your awareness into different spaces.

We will go through a gentle body scan now.

In order to be more fully tuned in to your body where it is right here right now.

Starting at the top of your head.

Just sensing into what's there.

Any sensations.

Any temperature.

Anything that pops up into the mind in terms of a thought or a memory.

Any emotion that arrives.

Anything and everything or perhaps nothing.

And all of that is okay.

Just noticing.

Sensing and observing through your crown.

Through the back of your head.

Noticing the weight of your head against the wall or the pillow or mat beneath it.

Sensing into your scalp.

Around your ears.

And into the base of your skull.

Wrapping around and coming into your jaw.

Your teeth.

Your tongue.

Your cheeks.

The muscles around your eyes.

Your forehead.

And just noticing now your whole head.

And then moving down into the front of the neck and into the throat.

Sensing what's here.

Taking your attention to the sides of the neck and into the back.

And to the tops of your shoulders.

And then scanning down each arm all the way from the top of your shoulder down to your fingertips.

Moving through the front of your body from your throat.

Down into your chest.

Into your heart center.

Down to the top of your rib cage.

Into your solar plexus.

And then just tracing the ribs on the front as they lead you to the sides of your back.

Moving through the front of your body.

Wrapping all the way around to the back.

Tuning in to the length of your spine.

Connecting with the base of the neck.

The shoulder blades.

And upper back.

Mid back.

And all the way down to the lower back and into the hips.

Wrapping back around to the front.

Tuning in to the belly.

Above the belly button.

And then below it into the sacral region.

And then sensing into the pelvic bowl.

Each of your hip sockets.

Your glutes.

And into your pelvic floor.

And the base of your spine.

Your root.

So just noticing and sensing.

Observing.

Feeling the rise and fall of your breath.

Allowing sensations to just be here.

And scanning the length of your whole body now.

All the way from your root to your crown.

And then from the top of each hip.

Scanning down each leg.

All the way from the top of the leg.

Down through the knee.

Into the lower leg.

The top and bottom of each foot.

And out through the toes.

And just feeling the weight of your body.

Heavier perhaps than before.

Surrendering to the surface beneath you.

Allowing it to feel peaceful in breath.

Allowing it to have space now to rest.

And now that you're more tuned in to your sensations here.

I'd like to see if we can sense into the spaces in your physical body.

In your heart and in your mind.

That offer stillness.

Quiet.

Solitude.

Steadiness.

These are the parts of you that never change.

They offer a familiar comfort.

A steady guidance.

A place to come back to.

These are spaces of spaciousness.

Expansion.

There is room here.

So just noticing the presence of the spaces in your body.

Where they live.

What do you notice here?

Noting spaciousness in the mind.

What feelings does this bring up for you?

Knowing that internally there is always somewhere for you to land that is steady and solid.

So just spending a moment.

Sensing into the spaces.

Being curious and observing whatever is here.

What sensations.

What pictures or memories or words.

What emotions arrive.

Feeling anchored and steady in this knowing and familiarity.

And then sensing into the opposite.

The places in you that are always moving.

Creating.

Feeling.

Changing.

The places where you find flow.

Energy and movement.

Places where you feel power.

Inspiration.

Noticing this in your body.

Where do you feel it?

Noticing it in your mind.

What's there?

What lights up for you here in your heart?

Dropping now further into the awareness.

That you always have both within you.

Still and steady presence.

Alongside movement and creation and energy.

Allowing for both.

Witnessing their contrast.

Sense their balance.

And the relationship between them.

How does one influence the other?

What does one offer to the other?

And what does it receive in return?

Connecting now to the space of stillness and steadiness.

This is your divine masculine.

The energy of the sun.

The energy of giving and leadership.

Of direction and structure.

And then connecting to the space of power and energy and movement in your divine feminine.

The energy of the moon.

Always moving and creating.

Feeling.

Powerful and ever-changing.

Know that you are a perfect blend of these two.

You were made this way.

Your unique composition.

A beautiful and natural interplay always exists between the two.

These energies are not gender-bound.

But instead we observe and embrace the qualities of both.

Your masculine holding space for your feminine.

Providing structure and room for expansion and flow.

Safety and acceptance for expression.

And your feminine flowing freely.

Expanding,

Moving and filling up all the space that is offered in all of its divinity.

And knowing how this balance appears in every facet of your life.

In your relationships.

In your work.

In your pursuit of hobbies and passions.

In your creativity.

In your body.

And within yourself at the deepest level.

And with a gentle and loving observation.

Notice where there might be something a bit out of balance.

Maybe an area of your life.

Or perhaps just things not feeling quite settled.

Perhaps it's your expenditure of energy.

Or how you spend your time.

Or who you spend your time and resources on.

Perhaps there's a mismatch between the amount of giving versus receiving.

The amount of structure versus flow.

Noticing spaces where perhaps the balance is not as it was intended to be.

And in sensing into these spaces of imbalance.

Declaring to yourself with loving intention to move towards things that restore this balance.

And moving away from things that disrupt it.

Knowing that you are divinely created.

That your intuition will always guide you.

And that your balance is your natural setting.

Coming back to breath now.

Noticing your inhale.

And noticing your exhale.

Noticing the sensations present in your body.

Noticing emotions that might be present right now in your heart space.

And with gratitude gathering up all of this wisdom that you have just explored and reflected upon in this experience.

Bringing it with you as we prepare to close off this meditation for now.

With the invitation always to come back to it whenever you feel like you'd like to explore it more.

And using the wisdom from today to carry you forward into a space of natural balance once again.

Sending gratitude to yourself for taking this time for you today.

If you feel called to,

I'll invite you to place one hand on your heart.

And the other on your belly.

Breathing into these spaces.

Feeling the connection between your hand and the space beneath it.

And the energy of your breath.

And as you start to energize more with breath.

Starting to connect now with some gentle movement in the body.

Coming out of a space of stillness.

And reconnecting with your surroundings.

Guiding yourself back into the room.

Knowing that you have just witnessed within yourself something deep and profound for your healing journey.

Knowing that this capacity is within you always.

Gently making your way perhaps over onto one side if you are lying down.

Finding some spaces for maybe a little wiggle or a rock or a shake.

Maybe some breath.

Maybe a stretch.

And then when you are ready,

Slowly making your way back up to a seated position.

Opening your eyes when you are ready.
