Hello,
Namaste,
Welcome to your practice.
My name is Sierra and today I'll be guiding you through a visualization meditation that's all about considering your wholeness and where you might need some extra nourishment.
Now this meditation is being recorded and is centered around the fall equinox,
Which is a seasonal shift and astrological point in the year.
This would be a really beneficial practice for any time of the year when you just need a little check in with yourself and maybe you want to give yourself some extra TLC.
So let's get started in a comfortable seated position when you're ready.
Take a moment to relax the shoulders away from the ears,
Close your eyes and start to deepen into the breath here.
Taking just a moment to let everything else from earlier in your day fall to the side,
Allowing yourself to arrive right here and right now.
We'll start just by taking three deep breaths together to help clear,
Cleanse the body and the mind.
So as you're ready,
Take a deep inhale into the low belly and exhale,
Let it go.
Two more inhale and exhale.
One more.
Allow your breath to return to neutral,
Relaxing even deeper into your seats.
As you start to soften the forehead and the jaw and the eyes in their sockets.
And for this visualization,
I'm going to call up some images and I'd like you to just receive them through your mind's eye.
However,
They show up for you innately is the way that they're meant to be.
So don't worry too much about changing anything or getting it perfect.
So I'd like you to imagine yourself walking through an apple orchard on an autumn afternoon.
The lingering rays of sunshine are filtering through the trees and the leaves.
The grass at your feet is long,
Golden green.
It's whispering at your legs as you walk by.
The apples on the trees are ripe and full.
Some have even fallen to the grass where flocks of birds and animals have gathered to feast.
You wander slowly through the trees,
Focusing on your feet,
Stepping firmly onto the cool earth.
As you step one foot in front of the other,
Take your time to gaze around and look at the trees.
Listen to the songs of the birds and the gentle wind blowing through the leaves.
Ahead of you,
You see a man tending to one of the trees.
He is halfway up a ladder that rests against a tree trunk,
But he's partly hidden by the branches and leaves that surround him.
A basket of apples rests at the feet of the ladder,
And as you approach,
He descends to the earth and waves at you.
You see that his face is ageless,
But with deep lines of wisdom in his cheeks and across his forehead.
He has a broad smile,
And his cheeks are shiny and red,
Just like the apples.
Greet him respectfully and see what he says to you.
His words are the first that you imagine him saying.
He reaches out and offers you an apple.
You thank him for his gift as you take it and turn your awareness towards it.
What is your apple like?
Feel it in your hands.
Is it smooth and firm?
Is it soft and rough?
What color is it?
How does it smell?
You lift it up to your lips to take a bite.
Is it sweet or is it dry?
Is it ripe?
This is your harvest at this time.
This is the wholeness of your soul.
What does it teach you?
Is it bringing you nourishment at this point in your life?
When you look up,
The man is gone,
But his gift for you remains.
You may do as you wish with your apple,
Remembering what it represents to you.
Retrace your steps through the orchard until you eventually bring yourself back to your body in real time.
Retrace what comes up emotionally and in your logical mind here.
When you are ready,
You may gently open your eyes.
If you'd like,
You can take this time to reflect or journal on what your soul's harvest looks like at this moment of your life.
Remembering to always be compassionate with yourself,
Knowing that no matter what your current circumstances are,
That you always have the power to change them.
And that anything that you cannot change,
You have the power to soften around.
Thank you for your practice.
Namaste.
