You are standing in a small lane that winds its way through a lush,

To the side of you runs an old stone wall covered in lichen and grown with ivy.
There is a gate in the wall and you feel as if it is only natural to open it and step inside.
The hinges give a little creak as you push and then you step through,
Closing the gate behind you.
The garden is bounded by old walls and overlooked by tall trees.
It is still and green and quiet.
There is a little path leading to a pool in the centre and beside it,
A bench.
You sit down,
Looking at the pool,
Crystal clear and no more than a foot deep.
A tiny stream feeds into it,
Looking like liquid glass as it flows.
Perhaps the walls shut out sound,
But it is very quiet here.
There is a stillness of great peace.
Just the gentle water and the breeze,
