A breathing meditation for stress to prepare for this guided meditation sit or lie down and get comfortable make sure any tight clothing or belts are loosened and that you are not too warm or too cold if you want to do this before you go to sleep get ready for bed in your usual way if you can lay with your feet apart and your arms extended a little way from the body now focus on your breath just be aware of it passing in and out of your lungs now take a deep breath taking the air down deeply so your stomach expands like a balloon on the exhale relax your stomach again continue with the deep breaths each time you exhale imagine breathing out any tension and feel your body getting heavier heavier,

Softer and more relaxed bring your awareness to the crown of your head and inhale imagine yourself inhaling peace feeling it spread throughout your head relaxing all the muscles now begin to mentally scan down your body inhaling relaxation into your bones opening your joints soothing your muscles let your body soften sinking into the surface beneath it completely supported be aware of each area of your body and if you feel any particular place that is not yet relaxed dwell upon it for a while inhale relaxation peace and tranquility exhale away everything that is not serving your peace of mind and body each time feel your body growing heavy,

Soft we will begin this with a chime and give you the time to do this now return to your awareness to the top of your head continuing to inhale and exhale exhale out everything you feel you need to let go of if your thoughts begin to wander just acknowledge them the very act of being aware that you are thinking means you are present in the moment bring your thoughts back to your breathing the swell of your stomach as you inhale the fall of it as you exhale every inhale is bringing you peace and healing every moment is of benefit to you within your body,

Your nervous system organs,

Blood,

Bone are feeling your peace and are relaxing being given time to heal this is so very healing for you know this as you continue breathing in pure peace and breathe out all that is not serving you just breathe now rest for a short moment in peace if you wish,

Open your eyes gently and slowly get up to go about your day or if you wish to sleep remain in relaxation you

I enjoyed this meditation and its guidance to relax. The music is great and the narration is helpful. There are some longer periods without narration where I got a little lost in my thoughts but ultimately I came back to the breath and the present and had a good practice.
