What is the one thing when applied can strengthen the body,
Mind and soul?
Hello,
I am Nouris and welcome back to my Fast and Talk series.
Today we are going to talk about fasting for holistic growth.
During fasting,
The body is detoxed,
Cleansed and repaired.
An easy way to put this theory to test is by the amazing feeling you get each time you wake up in the morning,
No matter how badly you felt before going to bed.
During sleep,
The body does obligatory fasting and during this period,
It enters healing mode thus renewing us every day.
Now what about the mind?
Fasting has been proven to improve mental clarity,
Focus and cognitive skills.
In fact,
Fasting has been linked to late onset of Alzheimer's disease.
Fasting also helps train the mind that makes us less compulsive altogether and helps us to build an overall discipline in our lives.
And as for the spirit,
During fasting we deny the flesh which brings us in unison with the spirit thus making fasting one of the gateways to the highest level of spirituality.
This is when we are most powerful.
This is the principle on which religious fasting is based where the theory is that fasting ultimately connects us to God and makes it easier for our prayers to be granted.
Now put all three of these together and you get a superhuman who is physically well and free of ailments,
Mentally efficient and spiritually awakened.
This is ultimate holistic strength.
