This practice is to help you bring your energy back.
We move around in this world in interaction with so many people,
Places,
Things,
And we share so much of ourselves.
So let's take a few minutes together to bring our energy back to us.
You can take a seated posture,
Spine straight,
And your crown to the sky.
And feel your feet on the floor,
Or if you're sitting cross-legged,
Feel the size of your feet and maybe even your thighs on the mat or the bed that you're sitting on.
Now take a few deep in and exhales and you can sigh out loud on the exhale.
Take a few more of those in your own pace and allow the breath to move your body.
And let any stagnant energy or stress out on the exhale.
Now place your hand on your heart and take a few seconds to think about the places,
The people,
And the things that you have shared your energy with recently.
See how you've moved through this world and observe the encounters that you've had.
With every encounter you share a bit of yourself.
And maybe a bit of your energy,
Which is your most valuable currency.
So you can take that back.
You have served.
People have been helped and have benefited from the interactions with you.
But now it's time to bring your energy and your power back to you.
So you can visualize that happening in any way that feels good to you.
Maybe it's a stream of energy or a wave or a threat that you pull in.
You bring it back into your body.
It can come in through the crown of your head or maybe directly into your heart.
And you can say it out loud.
I call my power and energy back now so I can charge myself and take the energy that I need from me and for me.
I call my energy back now from all the places,
Things and people that I've shared it with earlier.
And notice how it feels.
How does this energize your body to have your own energy back?
Sometimes it can help to visualize a color or a texture or a wave.
And you can also,
Once you've received it,
Draw a circle around you.
Any type of border or boundary so that you can keep your energy contained for you.
This is such a strong practice and you can do this as often as you like.
There's no need to look after anyone else right now.
This is you caring for you.
Take a deep breath and sigh it out again.
And be intentional about what you will share with the people,
The things and the places around you for the rest of your day.
