Welcome to the Embodied MD Drop-in Audio.
I'm Dr.
Claudine,
And I invite you to make yourself comfortable,
Whether in a seated or lying down position.
And if it's safe for you to do so,
Closing down your eyes and bringing your hands to rest on your body.
Perhaps placing one hand over your heart and the other over your belly or wherever feels supportive for you.
With your eyes closed,
Take a moment here to become aware of your breath.
Bringing your awareness to notice and really feel the breath as it flows in and out,
Noticing its temperature,
Noticing how your chest rises and falls with each inhale and exhale.
Your breath doesn't need to change or be different.
Just notice the qualities of the air as it moves in and out of your body.
Now bringing your awareness to your base,
Breathing down into your seat and the support that's beneath you,
That's holding you.
Take a moment to feel all the points your body rests into the chair,
The bed,
The floor,
Or whatever is beneath you.
And with your next exhale,
Letting your body become heavy,
Letting your back,
Your base,
Your legs,
And your whole body relax and melt into the support that's there.
Surrendering your body down to the chair,
The floor,
And the earth that's beneath you.
Dropping deeper and deeper into the safety and the support that's available to you every time you exhale.
Next drawing your awareness into your heart.
And with eyes still closed,
Take a moment here to feel the heart open as the breath expands into the front of your chest space.
Breathing here,
Dropping deeper and deeper into your heart and noticing how the sides of your chest open as you breathe in.
The air creating space around your heart for it to fully expand,
Allowing your heart to feel,
To sense,
And to see what is here for you in this moment.
And you're free to let the body adjust in any small or big movements to open this heart space even further.
Letting your body lead,
Perhaps there's a change in posture that your heart needs to open more,
Or maybe a breath or a sigh out to drop deeper and deeper into the depth of your heart.
So if there's any movements or adjustments your body would have you take,
Go ahead and move into those now.
And now drawing your awareness and your breath deeper down into the pelvic bowl.
Letting the breath flow down first to the left hip and then to the right hip.
Taking a moment to wake this area up as you place your attention in the center of your hips.
Imagine this expanding ball of light increasing and expanding every time you breathe in.
And just feeling the base of the body here,
Opening up from the inside.
Then you're free to make any adjustments that the body,
Hips,
Or pelvis would like.
There's no right or wrong movements to make.
Any small or big movements as you really just feel breathing in and exhaling,
Sighing out from the depths of your pelvic bowl.
And as you drop into this beautiful body today,
I invite you with your eyes still closed to take a moment to drop this question into the body.
Body,
How can I love you more?
How can I love you more?
And just noticing what bubbles up in response,
There's no need for you to go searching for an answer.
Just continue inhaling and exhaling and feeling the weight of your body in the chair as you ask,
Body,
How can I love you more?
Getting to this question to really feel,
Sense,
And see all that might arise in response.
And then in your own time,
Gently bringing yourself back to the day.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
And if you have a few moments,
I invite you to perhaps journal on anything that came up for you,
Any sensations in your body,
Any feelings that bubbled up.
And whatever the response to the question was,
Body,
How can I love you more?
And I recommend repeating this dropping process as often as you can.
Good work.
Thank you.
