Good morning and welcome to this quick morning magic meditation.
These next few minutes are for melting away stress and beginning your day with intention,
Clarity and light.
So to begin,
You are welcome to close your eyes or soften your gaze,
Whichever feels most comfortable for you.
I want you to bring your awareness to the places where your body is met by whatever is rising to meet it.
Whether that's a chair,
A bed,
The ground,
Feel the weight of your body being held and know that for the next few moments,
You are safe,
You are supported and there is nothing required of you other than to be here.
Let's take a slow breath in,
Filling up your belly,
Your diaphragm and then gently exhale out through your mouth as if you are blowing through an invisible straw.
Let's do that one more time and exhaling out any tension or heaviness.
Now in your mind's eye,
I want you to imagine that you are sitting somewhere beautiful.
This could be a real place,
An imaginary place,
But wherever it is,
It is outside.
You are out in the open right before the day breaks.
The sky above you is glowing with hues of soft pinks and oranges.
And on the horizon,
The sun begins to rise,
Sending a golden beam of light toward you.
Feel this sunlight as it meets the crown of your head and observe it as it flows down through your crown,
Your forehead,
Temples and ears,
Filling your cheeks,
Your chin and jaw,
Melting away any tension as it moves through you.
Observe it as it continues to travel down through your arms,
Your hands,
Filling each finger to the fingertip.
Travelling down,
Filling your heart space,
Your belly and your back,
Bringing with it warmth,
Clarity and a radiant energy.
Continue to notice as it fills up the rest of your body,
Trickling right down through you until each individual toe tip is filled with this glimmering,
Sparkling energy.
As it fills you up,
You feel yourself becoming lighter,
Free from the weight of yesterday and open to the energy and all of the possibilities of this new day.
As you bask in this glow and warmth,
Bring to mind one simple intention for your day to day.
It could be a word like ease,
Joy or clarity,
Or perhaps it could be a way of being,
Such as being patient,
Open or courageous.
Once you have landed on this intention you wish to set,
Notice it shining in your heart space,
Amplified and brought to life by the sun's magic within you.
We're going to take one last deep breath in,
And a gentle exhale out,
Before we return to ourselves in the present moment.
I'm going to invite you to gently wiggle your fingers and toes,
Flutter your eyelids open or lift your gaze,
And just find yourself reoriented in the here and now of your space in this present moment.
Just like the sun,
There's an inherent radiance and spaciousness within you which you are able to access at any time.
It's yours.
So carry your intentions out with you today with courage and commitment.
Let them guide you.
