Alright friend,
Let's get comfortable and allow your mind and body to relax so you can have a peaceful sleep and wake up feeling rejuvenated.
My intention for this meditation is to assist in supporting you to help you sink into a deep restful sleep.
You can use this meditation to help you fall asleep when you are ready for bed or if you're having a hard time sleeping and came across this during that time.
Once you're ready and limited all distractions,
Give yourself a few moments to get as comfortable as you can.
Listen to my voice and allow it to fade off into the distance as you allow your mind and body to effortlessly fall asleep and go into the most rejuvenating sleep cycle.
Make any last adjustments for your body.
Listening to the areas that are feeling any tension or restlessness.
Perhaps do a gentle stretch right now before you get into your resting position.
Take a few deep breaths in and out,
Letting yourself sigh on the breath out.
Begin to hear the sound of your heartbeat slowing down and remembering that breathing gives you life on each inhale and exhale.
Now that you are a little more relaxed,
Bring a color to your mind.
Any color.
Any color.
Imagine with each inhale,
Your desired color washing through your body from head to toe,
Allowing this color to sink into your muscles,
Feeling comforting and soothing,
Letting go of all the tension on your breath out.
If you still have thoughts in your mind,
Just notice them and now visualize a shelf on a wall.
Any thoughts that are still there,
Just picture yourself putting them into a box,
Closing the box,
Picking it up and putting it on the top shelf.
Remind yourself that these thoughts are not serving you at this moment.
Don't choose each one individually,
Picking it up in your hands.
Some might be a little heavier than others.
And just leave them there for now.
Take a few moments and breathe,
Visualizing this.
There is nothing you need to do right now other than allow your mind and body to rest.
The color swirling gently in your body is allowing all of your muscles to relax.
Take some deep breaths in and out.
Breathe in deeply.
Exhale slowly.
Inhale.
I allow myself to rest.
Exhale.
I release tension.
Inhale.
I allow myself to rest.
Exhale.
I release tension.
Continue these words for a minute on your own while you are breathing.
The more your mind relaxes,
Your body knows just what to do to help regenerate and heal.
You begin to hear the tranquil sounds of a calm ocean in the distant background.
I invite you to see yourself floating along the beach of the serene gentle ocean.
It's a dark starry night and the moon is full.
The light glistens on the water and creates the most beautiful ripples in the waves.
You continue floating along the beach,
Hearing the sounds around you of the ocean.
You are just being in this moment,
Enjoying this moment with no destination.
You are fully tuned in with your senses,
Calm and relaxed,
Your heart beating perfectly and with so much ease.
You now pause along this beach,
Still floating,
Facing the moon and water,
Breathing deeply in and out,
Gently floating up and down ever so slightly on the beach.
Breathing in and out,
And now in sync with the waves.
You can smell the salty fresh sea air on your inhales and exhales.
The glistening of the moon's light bounces off the water and touches your face.
With your eyes closed you can see the soothing light through your eyelids.
Just stay here a while floating and feeling this energy of the moon and water all around you.
Floating up and down,
Your heart beating with the waves,
Everything connected and working together.
Just like the moon creates waves in the ocean,
It also connects with you and your heart,
Your breath.
Breathing in fresh sea air,
As you float here,
Breathing,
Bring your memory back to the colour,
See your body illuminating that colour and spreading all around you,
Creating all the space of peaceful energy around you.
It expands and gets bigger,
Until it reaches the moon and everything around it.
You are surrounded by protective energy,
You can feel the moon cast its energy onto you,
And everything is good.
Everything feels so calm,
The most calm you have been in a long time.
Just being one with everything.
Breathe all of this in and out,
Slowly and deeply on your own,
Your heart pulsing effortlessly and with ease.
Stay here a while,
Listen to the sounds all around you,
And allow your mind to glide into slow wave sleep.
You are supported,
You are protected,
Ease into the deepest sleep.
