Let's begin by taking a deep breath in and out together.
Slowly inhale deeply through your nose,
Hold it for just a moment,
And exhale slowly through your mouth.
In these turbulent times,
It's no surprise that many of us are feeling overwhelmed by the world around us.
With news flashing across our screens,
Stories that weigh heavily on our hearts,
And a constant buzz of uncertainty lingering in the air,
It can often feel like we're carrying a heavy load on our shoulders,
And then anxiety creeps in.
You are not alone in this feeling.
Most of us are juggling emotions that seem to swirl like autumn leaves caught in a storm.
But here's a gentle reminder.
Amidst the chaos outside,
There's a sanctuary within you that no external turbulence can penetrate.
Today,
We are going to explore that space together through the rhythm of our breath.
Let's focus on what we can control.
As you settle into a comfortable position,
I invite you to close your eyes.
Let's take a moment to simply acknowledge the emotions that you are feeling.
Maybe it's stress,
Sadness,
Or even anger.
Whatever it is,
Don't push it away.
Instead,
Welcome it in like an old friend.
Take a deep breath in,
Holding onto that feeling for just a moment.
And as you exhale,
Imagine releasing that emotion like a fallen leaf floating away gently to the ground.
Just let it go.
Let's breathe together again.
Inhale slowly,
And exhale fully.
Inhale slowly,
And exhale fully.
It's alright to feel the way that you feel.
The world is complex,
And so are our emotions.
But right here,
Right now,
You're carving out a pocket of peace.
Now allow your attention to drift to your breath.
Notice how it flows in and out of your body,
Like the gentle ebb and flow of the tide.
Each inhale is a refreshing wave washing over you,
Filling you with light and warmth.
Each exhale carries away the worries,
Stress,
And noise of the outside world.
Remember,
My friend,
Your breath can be a refuge.
With each inhale,
Envision drawing in calmness.
Hold that breath for a second.
And when you exhale,
Visualize releasing everything that no longer serves you.
The tension,
The anxiety,
And the burdens are all melting away.
Breathe in deeply.
Exhale slowly.
Breathe in calmness.
Breathe out tension.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Now I ask that you bring your awareness to your heart space.
Feel it softening,
As if the warmth of your breath is wrapping around it like a comforting blanket.
It's okay to acknowledge the weight you carry,
But know that it does not define you.
You are resilient.
Allow yourself a few moments in this cozy heart space,
Breathing in the resilience and breathing out the fear.
Imagine each exhale sending ripples of peace throughout your body.
Breathe in serenity.
Breathe out chaos.
Sit here for a few moments on your own,
Breathing in peace,
Breathing out serenity.
As we approach the end of our meditation,
Let's take a final few breaths together.
Inhale deeply,
Feeling gratitude for this moment of stillness.
And exhale,
Releasing everything else that has occupied your mind.
When you are ready,
Gently bring your awareness back to this present moment.
Wiggle your fingers.
Stretch your arms.
And when you feel ready,
Slowly open your eyes.

You have the power to navigate your emotions.
Your breath is your ally.
