Hello and welcome to this 5 minute morning meditation that will help you decrease stress before you begin your day.
First get yourself into a comfortable seated position,
Whatever position is good for you over the next 5 minutes.
Gently close your eyes,
Allowing your body and mind to relax.
Start by taking a deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your belly expand as you inhale,
Hold for a moment,
And then exhale slowly through your mouth,
Feeling the release of tension in your body.
Bring your attention to the sensation of your breath entering and leaving your body.
Notice the coolness of the inhalation,
And the warmth of the exhalation.
As thoughts or distractions arise,
Acknowledge them without judgment and gently bring your focus back to your breath.
Continue to deepen your breath,
Inhaling fully and exhaling completely.
With each breath imagine a sense of ease and relaxation spreading throughout your entire body,
From the top of your head to the tips of your toes.
As you continue to breathe,
Silently repeat the following phrases.
I breathe in calmness and clarity.
I breathe out tension and stress.
I breathe in calmness and clarity.
I breathe out tension and stress.
Take a moment to observe any physical sensations that arise.
As you focus on your breath,
Notice the rise and fall of your belly,
The feeling of air entering and leaving your nostrils.
Allow your breath to center you,
Grounding you in this present moment.
As the meditation comes to an end,
Take a final deep breath in,
Exhale fully,
And slowly open your eyes.
Take a moment to notice how you feel,
Carrying the sense of calmness and clarity with you as you continue with your day.
I hope this guided breathing meditation helps you to find a sense of calm and clarity.
Even just taking a few moments to focus on your breath can have a profound effect on your well-being.
Feel free to use this practice whenever you need to center yourself or pause and find presence in the midst of a busy day.
I send you love,
And I hope you go through your day with ease and flow.
Feel free to sit here for the last few moments,
Listening to the music,
And get up and start your day when you are ready.
