Do you ever get stressed? You've probably heard an adult say, "Wow, I'm really stressed out" That is there way of saying my body and mind feels ‘yucky’ but kids like you also have lots of things going on in their lives that can cause stress, too. Stress might feel like not sleeping, being sad, sad, angry, tummy ache, worried. This practice that we are going to do together, offers your body and mind a skillful solution to relax and let go of the yucky feelings. When we pay attention and focus our minds on something, as simple as doing nothing, it can make us feel really good and relaxed. Let's join them for a meditation to find calm. Take a deep breath in, and ahhhhhhh, a deep breath out.

Hi,

Friend.

Welcome.

It's time to practice Super Stretch's favorite pose to let go of yucky feelings,

But also the hardest,

The do nothing pose with the adventures of Super Stretch.

I'm Super Stretch.

My friends and I live at 247 Mindful Pathway.

It's our mission to make balance a part of your day because you are a superstar,

Even when you don't feel okay.

Do you ever get stressed?

You've probably heard an adult say,

Wow,

I'm really stressed out.

That is their way of saying,

My body and mind feels yucky.

But kids like you have lots of things going on in their lives that can cause stress too.

Stress may feel like not sleeping,

Being sad,

Angry,

Having a tummy ache,

Being worried.

The meditation that we're going to do together offers your body and your mind a skillful solution to relax and let go of the icky feelings.

We're going to dig into our super kit and tap into our life force,

Let go of stress and anxiety by creating fun tools to see in a new way and find freedom from fear to enjoy life's ever changing adventures.

Come on,

Friends.

Let's join in the meditation with the Super Stretch Team to discover how to make Breathe Stretch Play a part of every day.

But before we start,

Remember,

It may be hard at first to teach your body and mind to let go and relax.

It will get easier to stop for a minute,

Pay attention to your breath and feel what's going on inside of you.

We don't need to push anything.

There's always going to be room for improvement and growth.

So take a breath,

Calm your mind and step forward.

Let's shake out all about wiggling and giggling any movement that's still stuck inside of us by doing a fun balloon breath.

Stretch your right arm high and then your left arm high.

Stomp out your right foot,

Then your left foot,

Reach higher,

Breathe in as much air as you can,

Get as big as you possibly can and now bend down and grab your knees curl up,

Give yourself a big hug as you make your body into a tight ball,

Breathing out as much air as you can.

Let's do it again.

Stretch your right arm high,

Your left arm even higher,

Stomp your right foot,

Then your left foot,

Breathe in as much air as you can,

Get as tall as you possibly can,

Reach for the stars and then bend down,

Curl up,

Grab your knees,

Give yourself a hug as you get into a tight little ball and exhale out,

Breathing out as much air as you can.

Now you can do this meditation sitting up tall in lotus flower pose or lay down.

Begin to feel a big smile wash over your face.

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Let's try that again.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Share kindness with your entire body.

There is no place to go,

No job to do.

You are literally doing no thing.

Well,

You are practicing breathing calmly and slowly.

Take a deep breath in,

A deep breath out.

Where do you feel the air going?

Let's follow it through our body.

Think about the breath visiting to your toes.

Feel them warm and glowing as you breathe in through the nose and breathe out through your mouth.

Now feel the breath going to your legs.

Breathe in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Feel the breath start to go to your belly button.

Warm and calm.

Breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.

Now follow the breath through your body and visit your shoulders.

Breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth as you feel your shoulders melt away.

Can you feel the breath now into your elbows and tickling your fingertips?

Breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.

Start to sense your neck.

Find the breath making its way there.

Breathing in through the nose and breathing out through the mouth.

And now you can feel your face calm,

Happy.

Breathing in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth as your face is bright and glowing.

Now start to feel this huge smile washing over your entire body as you breathe in through the nose and breathe out through the mouth.

Everything in your body and your mind is still and quiet.

Take one huge breath through your whole body.

Top to bottom,

Side to side,

Underneath your feet,

Tickling your armpits,

Even between your fingers.

Breathe in through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Feel how you are really just doing no thing at all,

But being you.

How do you feel now?

Breathe in and breathe out.

A huge smile because you did such a good job.
