Let's start by gathering our awareness at the nostrils, sharpening our focus, and intensifying our awareness as much as possible. Cultivate and carry this unbroken thread of awareness through your day.

So let's start by gathering our awareness at the nostrils.

Sharpening our focus and intensifying our awareness as much as possible.

Softening our focus and intensifying our awareness as much as possible.

Then when we have clear and sharp minds,

Let's slowly move our awareness towards our lips.

And as our awareness reaches our lips,

Gently open our mouths.

Simply allowing the air to come in and out of our mouths.

Not consciously breathing through the mouth.

Just letting it naturally move in and out.

Anchor your awareness on the lips and the tip of the tongue.

And as your awareness builds and sharpens,

Allow it to move further into the mouth.

Along the tongue into the back of the throat.

Using every sensation on the way.

And then from the throat,

Continue to move down.

Maintaining the same principles of the practice as always.

Feeling everything and reacting to nothing.

Resting at the base of the throat.

And focusing our awareness.

And then continuing to move down into the upper chest.

As we move our awareness down,

Find the natural center of the chest.

And focus your awareness here.

Using it to collect and intensify.

When you have clear awareness of the sensations in the chest here.

And your mind is stable and balanced.

Allow the person that you love the most in this world to come into your mind.

Feel your love for them.

Focus on this feeling of love.

On this sensation of love.

Moments might come to mind that remind you of your love for them.

And stimulate this loving feeling.

Let them come.

And feel this stable loving awareness.

Move through this connection between the two of you.

If any images come up that show you more difficult aspects of your relationship.

Moments when perhaps there was less harmony.

Maybe focus the same loving awareness on them.

As we do on the happy moments.

The ones that stimulated the love.

Whatever we see of ourselves or this person.

We react the same way.

We focus our stable loving awareness on it.

Immovable at cause.

May they also be happy.

Wherever they are.

Whatever they're doing.

May they receive our love.

If other people come to mind while you're meditating.

The people that you love and want to shine this light on.

Then simply allow yourself to move your awareness over to them.

In the same way that we move our awareness through the body.

When we practice for passion.

We can move our awareness over the cast of characters of our lives.

Sending all of them love.

Just as in the body we encounter different sensations.

Some of them pleasant.

Some of them unpleasant.

And we accept them with the same complete focus.

The same equanimity.

Right now as we move through the cast of characters in our lives.

We shine the same loving awareness on all of them.

Whoever they are.

Whatever role they played in our lives.

Focus on these people that you love.

Allow your mind to momentarily anchor its awareness on them.

As you deeply feel this sensation of loving awareness within you.

And you continue to extend it to them.

Whatever comes up does not have the power to move you out of this stable loving awareness.

Images,

Thoughts,

Memories might momentarily interfere.

And we simply move our minds.

Move our awareness back into this position of love.

Focusing it on them.

There might be some feelings.

Between us and them that need to be cleaned out of the way.

Simply let the love do this.

Let it wash away any interference that may exist between you and this other person.

Leaving nothing but this stable loving awareness connecting you.

Let it wash away any interference that may exist between you and this other person.

Once you've found this position of love inside of you.

Continue to practice this with mouth open or mouth closed.

And then when you feel the process has naturally come to a close.

Start to withdraw your awareness from the external.

Bring it back to yourself.

Start to shine your total focus on yourself again.

Select your awareness and begin to explore the nature of your own body.

Practicing Vipassana again.

Maintaining unbroken contact,

Unbroken awareness of the sensations of the body.

Taking our stable awareness everywhere,

Regardless of the conditions.

Whether working with sensation or the breath.

Let's continue to carry our awareness with us.

This unbroken thread of awareness through our day.
