Now that we've started to get the hang of this,

Let's go a little bit deeper.

How do we walk this line?

Between the mundane and the sublime.

We simply start applying the skill we learned on day two.

This skill of being able to fixate the awareness and go deeper into the self.

We can do this everywhere in the body.

We can turn everything into a position of awareness that we can reliably return to,

Reliably access.

It doesn't need to be the breath.

It doesn't need to be the space beneath the nostrils.

Every point is a point that we can turn into a house for our awareness,

A resting place for our awareness.

So that we have stations as we move through the body that we can reliably stop at.

So let's do this now.

Let's gather our awareness at the nostrils until we are focused,

Sharp,

Clear,

Non-reactive,

Accepting and welcoming of all sensations.

And then let's move slowly,

Sensation by sensation,

Up to the point between the brows.

Is there a natural point here with more gravity?

More gravity that draws our awareness towards it.

Ask your mind this.

Let it find it.

And then start to anchor your awareness here.

Going deeper into the sensations.

And now we know how to do this.

Whichever sensation we're feeling,

We make it our entire area of awareness.

And we inquire into it deeply.

We feel it deeply and completely.

The quality of it.

The shape of it.

Whether it's fixed or fluid.

The size of it.

The boundaries.

The center.

And all the sensations inside of this one sensation.

Are there other sensations?

Is this sensation made up of other smaller sensations?

Start to feel them.

And then when you can feel one of them distinctly,

Make this new sensation the total area of your awareness.

Continuing this process.

Until this point between your brows becomes another house for your awareness.

Another place in the body that we can reliably move to as we move through ourselves.

Through our internal world.

When you feel this area thoroughly and completely.

And continue to move up through the forehead.

Through the scalp.

To the point at the top of the head.

And your point at the top of the head.

Feel this area deeply.

Continue your awareness here.

Locate your awareness on a sensation here that you can feel distinctly.

And repeat the process.

Now as we move to the body.

We have the ability to truly explore the internal landscape.

And to turn every point into a position for our awareness.

So we're consistently going deeper and deeper into the self.

Deeper and deeper into the fundamental nature of reality.

Step by step.

Now we know we don't need anything more than this.

To walk our way from the regular world to the psychedelic.

From the mundane to the mystical.

We go through the details deeply into the body.

Accepting reality as it is.

Not avoiding it.

Not hiding from it.

Embracing it.

Welcoming it.

And steadily going deeper and deeper.

Deeper and deeper into it.

Let's do this now.

Taking our own time at our own pace.

Always moving with real sensation.

Always moving with direct experience of the reality.

The reality within.

Building this communication with ourselves.

Let's continue to move around the body and turn everything into a position of awareness.

As we move into our next position of awareness,

Let's always remind ourselves that every position can be something that we can deeply understand.

Every position we move into is another set of information.

Another set of sensations for us to access.

Another conversation for us to have with ourselves.

Let's do this now.

As we maintain our awareness and we transition into whatever the next thing is.

Let's carry our awareness with us.

today was day 976 of daily meditation, day 3 of intentionally starting my meditation practice with the istana. anapana and vipassana are crucial components to the clarity I desire within and without. the first cultivation of discipline is patience—patience being the art of watching change occur without effort. these tracks have helped me take significant leaps in finding presence and letting go of thought more efficiently in and out of the meditation seat. extremely grateful for this practice 🙏🏾.
