Let's remember to get ourselves settled,

Find a stable position where we can keep our spine and our neck straight but be relaxed at the same time.

And whatever we're doing,

Whatever position we're moving through,

Keeping the awareness on our breath.

That's how we train the mind.

That's how we start working in unison with our most powerful tool again.

With consistency.

So don't miss an opportunity to train your mind.

When the mind starts to wander,

Don't even give the thoughts,

The emotion,

The sensation,

The sound,

Whatever it is that dragged you off center,

An opportunity to sink in.

As soon as you realize that your mind's gone somewhere,

Bring it back to the breath.

Feel the breath within the larger triangular area and keep it fixed.

Keep your awareness fixed on the feeling of the breath moving in and out of the nostrils.

Nothing else.

The more we do this,

The more it becomes clearer and clearer what it is that we've allowed ourselves to integrate as our unconscious conditioning.

The more we do this,

The more we have an opportunity to become immune to our unconscious conditioning.

And we're going to find as we develop this focus,

As our mind starts to listen to us more and more,

Then this is going to become its natural position.

We can simply think about it coming back to the breath and it will be here.

And it's sitting here and resting here won't be a struggle anymore.

It will be natural.

And our mind will be full of clarity,

Full of peace.

But first,

We must learn to become immune to all this conditioning,

All this conditioning that we've trained ourselves into perpetuating.

There may be a million and one things that we're reactive to,

But luckily there's one way to address them all and that's simply to feel the breath and not react to it.

Just feel it exactly as it is.

No need to control it,

No need to change it,

No need to regulate it.

Simply feel the breath,

Observe it and let it be.

And the more we can do that,

The more that we show our mind that there's no way to throw us off balance.

And then if we can choose to put our mind here,

If we can choose to give our mind an instruction and it happily follows it and helps us with it,

Then we know we're ready to start working with the mind and not against it.

So let's all do that now.

Let's flex that mental muscle,

Bring our mind back to the larger triangle and feel the breath coming in and out of the nostrils.

And if anything happens to distract us,

We simply repeat the process.

And just as we're training a dog,

We don't get angry at the dog for being a dog,

We don't get upset at it,

We simply snap that leash and bring it back to the path easily and calmly.

That's how we train our mind.

Now let's use this silence to be able to do that.

Good.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Okay.

Oh.

Okay.

Stepped Let's remember,

As we start to change postures,

Move into different positions,

Pick up different activities,

That all of these are simply an opportunity to learn to take our awareness into that new state,

Into that new position,

Carry our awareness through everything.

We can feel the breath,

Whatever we're doing,

We can focus our mind regardless of the activity.

So let's start to learn to do this now.

Getting up from our mats isn't the end of our meditation,

It's an opportunity to carry our awareness with us,

Whatever we do.

the calming sensation brought on by Anapana always works for me. the practice of returning to the breath = gratitude. in my moments of anxiety-induced-self-frustration, my attention wanders into my imagination, where I constantly see situations that haven’t happened yet and hypothesize my response. anapana frees me from this by reminding me of the power of breathing mindfully and observing the mind from the heart. grateful for this practice πŸ˜ŒπŸ™πŸΎ.
