Finding a comfortable seated position and bringing your awareness to your breath as you gently close down your eyes.
As you next exhale could you let the muscles and tendons and ligaments soften off the bones of your body a little more now as you nestle down into your space,
Your body,
The moment,
The support beneath you.
Noticing the natural ebb and flow of your breath as you rest here.
Noticing perhaps the thoughts,
Sensations and emotions within the body and seeing whether you could just invite a gentle awareness of all of it.
Noticing it but not needing to attach to it.
Just here now with yourself with this moment and could you bring your awareness to the breath in a new capacity now.
Imagining that you're kind of drawing your breath up your spine from your tailbone to the crown of your head as you breathe in and as you exhale allowing it to sink back down the spine all the way down to the tailbone.
Continuing to breathe up and down the spine here.
Feeling your awareness be drawn to the central column of you,
Your center.
Feeling this breath awareness remind you of the polarities of life.
Ebb and flow up and down day and night and invite all aspects of you into this moment.
As you next inhale invite the breath to meet the space between the eyebrows at the top of the inhale and as you exhale let it settle there in your third eye.
Noticing the space of the mind,
What's present here,
Is it spacious or crowded and could you imagine that you yourself like a little mini version of you is sitting in your mind in like an indigo orb.
Feeling this bubble around you of indigo light holding you in your mind reminding you of its power and could you bring your awareness now to visualize that you're sitting at the fork of a river.
Out in front of you the river flows and then turns left and right.
Noticing the color of the river,
The plants surrounding it and you start to wade into the beautiful cleansing water until you're swimming all the way out in the center of the river and you start to gently float towards the fork.
You acknowledge one fork as the trajectory of how your day's been going today,
Perhaps some habits that you've been experiencing,
Some emotions.
Maybe you acknowledge this side of the fork as your lower self and you acknowledge the other fork as your higher self,
Your future self,
The habits that you would like to implement into your life,
The rituals,
The way you would like the rest of your day to go.
Acknowledging both of these forks in the river as you gently float towards them and as you float towards them notice which one you would like to choose.
Would you like to continue to flow the same way that you have been?
Would you like to take a slightly different course for the rest of today?
Maybe a really different course.
Knowing that neither is better or worse,
They both just simply are and it's simply a choice in this moment.
Allow yourself to be drawn to which fork of the river as you come closer and closer and begin to float down one of them.
Knowing that the flow of life is carrying you,
You're just simply choosing what it is you'd like to focus on,
What direction it is you would like to head in with your awareness and the power of choice.
As you float down whichever side of the river,
Whichever fork you chose,
Could you invite emotions,
Perhaps visualizations of what the rest of your day,
Maybe even the rest of your week will be like because of your choice.
Allow yourself to feel these outcomes,
Experiences,
Connections in your heart space as you're blessed with them in this fork of the river.
Could you take some time to thank the river for carrying you,
For flowing,
For guiding you and gently,
Gently bringing your awareness back to the pulse of your breath,
The inhale and the exhale.
Feeling the flow of your breath and inviting the flow of your breath to remind you throughout the day of the choices that you can make in any moment.
The power of choice,
The flow of directing your energy,
Attention and intention,
Gently bringing your awareness to the weight of your body,
The sounds around you in this space and as you start to wake your body up gently could you give thanks to yourself for this practice,
Give thanks to the practice for whatever it is gifted you today and give yourself permission to take that into the rest of your life and when you're ready you can gently,
Gently bat open your eyes and welcome yourself back into the rest of your day.
Thank you.
